Rowenta is a German manufacturer of small household appliances. Since 1988, it has been part of the global French Groupe SEB. The German subsidiary is Rowenta Werke GmbH in Erbach in the Odenwald district in Hesse. History Robert Ferdinand August Weintraud (1860-1927) founded Robert Weintraud GmbH & Co KG in 1884, and trademarked the brand name Rowenta, an acronym of the company's full name, in December 1909. His family lived in Offenbach am Main. The company initially used the slogan ''Muss heute eine Rowenta sein'' (today tmust be a Rowenta). In 2005 they introduced ''Intelligent Beauty''. Groupe SEB (''Société d'Emboutissage de Bourgogne'') is a large French consortium that produces small appliances, and it is the world's largest manufacturer of cookware. Erbach Im Odenwald
Erbach () is a town and the district seat of the Odenwaldkreis (district) in Hesse, Germany. It has a population of around 13,000. Geography Location The town lies in the ''Mittelgebirge'' Odenwald at elevations between 200 and 560 m in the valley of the Mümling. One geological peculiarity is the creek Erdbach's complete disappearance within Dorf-Erbach's community area. The Erdbach reappears near Stockheim. - also called ''Osttangente Frankfurt'' (easttangent Frankfurt) or ''Taunusschnellweg'' - is a 40 km (25 mi) long Autobahn in Germany. It starts in Oberursel and goes along Bad Homburg, Frankfurt am Main, Offenbach am Main and Neu-Isenburg until it is ending in Egelsbach. Today's A 661 was opened with the sections Bad Homburg (today junction 3) and Frankfurt-Bonames (formerly junction 5b). While the road's extension to Oberursel-Nord was easy to build, the construction to Frankfurt-Eckenheim got significantly delayed. There was an interim end between Bonames and Eschersheim near the ''Bonameser Platz''. After many years the extension to the ''Friedberger Landstraße'' followed.
