Route 107 is a numbered State Highway running in Rhode Island, United States. The route serves the town of Burrillville and connects Route 100 with Route 102. Route description Route 107 begins in the village of Pascoag as Pascoag Main Street heading northeast. It soon reaches the village of Harrisville, entering along Chapel Street. Route 107 intersects Route 98 in the center of the village then leaves east along East Avenue. Route 107 soon intersects Route 102 (Bronco Highway) and continues for another block to end at Victory Highway, which is an old alignment of Route 102 that is still state-maintained. History Before 1934, Route 107 was on the opposite side of the State. Originally, Route 107 started at the junction of present-day Route 3 and Route 138 in Richmond. Pascoag is a census-designated place (CDP) and village in Providence County, Rhode Island. The population was 4,577 at the 2010 census. Pascoag is one of eight villages that make up the town of Burrillville. Geography Pascoag is located at (41.957401, -71.705957). The village is centered on the Pascoag River at its outlet from the Pascoag Reservoir. The river drops through the village, providing ample power for industry in the village's early days. According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 5.5 square miles; 5 square miles is land and 0.4 square miles (7.88%) is water. Demographics As of the census of 2000, there were 4,742 people, 1,642 households, and 1,175 families residing in the village. Burrillville, Rhode Island
Burrillville is a town in Providence County, Rhode Island, United States. The population was 16,158 at the 2020 census. It was incorporated as an independent municipality on November 17, 1806 when the Rhode Island General Assembly authorized the residents of then North Glocester to elect its own officers. The town was named for 19th century United States senator James Burrill, Jr. who was then the Rhode Island Attorney General. History Burrillville was probably first settled sometime around 1662, when the first Europeans began to settle the Nipmuc lands. The Town was originally a part of Glocester, Rhode Island. Harrisville is a census-designated place (CDP) and village in the town of Burrillville in Providence County, Rhode Island, United States. The population was 1,605 at the 2010 census. Much of the community composes a historic district listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The village was named after nineteenth century manufacturer Andrew Harris. Route 3 is a state highway in the U.S. state of Rhode Island. Route 3 serves as a local alternative to Interstate 95 (I-95) as it parallels I-95 for almost its entire length.
