Round Rock High School
Round Rock High School is a public high school located in Round Rock, Texas, a suburb of North Austin. Founded in 1867, it is the oldest high school in the Round Rock Independent School District. As of 2021, it is the largest high school in the Greater Austin area by student enrollment. Round Rock High School is designated by the UIL as a 6A school. Extracurricular activities Round Rock received national attention for its 1994-95 yearbook, believed to be the first ever released in CD-ROM format. The yearbook contained 2,000 photographs, 25 minutes of video and 20 minutes of audio material. In 1996–97, the baseball team won the 5A state championship, defeating Lubbock Monterey by a score of 7–1 in the tournament final. The Computer Science team won the 5A State Championship in 1998. Round Rock, Texas
Round Rock is a city in the U.S. state of Texas, in Williamson County (with a small part in Travis County), which is a part of the Greater Austin metropolitan area. Its population is 119,468 as of the 2020 census. The city straddles the Balcones Escarpment, Texas State Historical Association a fault line in which the areas roughly east of Interstate 35 are flat and characterized by having black, fertile soils of the Blackland Prairie, and the west side of the Escarpment, which consists mostly of hilly, karst-like terrain with little topsoil and higher elevations and which is part of the Texas Hill Country. James Lynch (American Football)
James Husker Lynch (born January 20, 1999) is an American football nose tackle for the Minnesota Vikings of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Baylor. Early years Lynch grew up in Round Rock, Texas and attended Round Rock High School, playing defensive line and punter on the school's football team. He was named the District 13-6A lineman of the year in each of his final two high school seasons. John Allen Henson (born December 28, 1990) is an American professional basketball player for Mets de Guaynabo of the Baloncesto Superior Nacional (BSN). He played college basketball for the North Carolina Tar Heels, where he was a two-time ACC Defensive Player of the Year. Jordan Cooper Danks (born August 7, 1986) is an American former professional baseball outfielder. He played Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Chicago White Sox and Philadelphia Phillies. Early life Danks graduated from Round Rock High School in Texas in 2005. He was drafted in the 19th round in the 2005 MLB draft by White Sox, but chose instead to attend the University of Texas at Austin and play for the Texas Longhorns baseball team. An outfielder is a person playing in one of the three defensive positions in baseball or softball, farthest from the batter. These defenders are the left fielder, the center fielder, and the right fielder. As an outfielder, their duty is to catch fly balls and ground balls then to return them to the infield for the out or before the runner advances, if there are any runners on the bases. Ryan David Langerhans (born February 20, 1980) is an American former professional baseball outfielder. Langerhans was drafted in the third round of the 1998 Major League Baseball draft by the Atlanta Braves, and made his debut with them in 2002.
