Andreas Roth (runner)
Per Andreas Roth (born 29 April 1993) is a Norwegian middle-distance runner specialising in the 400 and later 800 metres. While running the 400 metres he competed at the 2012 World Junior Championships and the 2013 European U23 Championships without reaching the final, and also in the 4 × 400 metres relay at the 2012 World Junior Championships and three European Team Championships. In the 800 metres, he competed at the 2014 European Championships and the 2015 European Indoor Championships without reaching the final, before clocking in fifth at the 2015 European U23 Championships. He retired in 2017, but continued as a pacemaker on national level, among others at the Bislett Games. Roth became Norwegian 400 m champion in 2013, also winning silver medals in 2011 and 2014, and then won the 800 metres in 2015 with silver medals in 2014, 2016 and 2017. Claudia Benedikta Roth (born 15 May 1955) is a German politician (Alliance 90/The Greens). Carl Reinhold Roth was a Swedish businessman and ironmaster who lived during the late 17th to mid 18th century. He is best known as the first ironmaster named Roth at the ironworks in Ludvika, Sweden. Reinhold was in his time one of Stockholm's more prominent businessmen. He also owned Sunnansjö ironworks and estate, and Skogsegen (Judge Hörneåfor’s ironworks in Västerbotten), devoted himself to the nascent sawmill industry, and was ship-owner of the Augusta (named for his second wife). Early life Reinhold was born November 18, 1797 in Lower Fösked. His career began in Stockholm, where he was employed by the merchant's firm Netterblad & Åbom. Carl Roth II was a Swedish ironmaster who lived between the 18th and 19th centuries. He is best known for owning two ironworks in Karlstad Municipality, Värmland County, Sweden: Duvnäs (Duvenäs), and Nedre Fösked (Föske). Early life Carl was born on October 12, 1753, in Stockholm. On June 26, 1764, at the age of 10, he enrolled at Uppsala University under Stockholm's Nation. After graduating in 1771, he moved with his parents to their estate at Duvnäs where he focused primarily on agriculture and working at the family's mill. Carl was said to have a Godly and humble disposition and loved books above all else. Later life Carl presumably took over operations at Duvnäs upon his father's death in 1788. Carl Roth was a Swedish blacksmith, farrier, and ironmaster who lived during the mid-18th century. He is best known for his work renovating Charles XII's Stair at Katarina Church in Stockholm, Sweden; and as ironmaster of both Duvnäs (Duvenäs), and Nedre Fösked (Föske) ironworks. Carl William Roth (September 15, 1909 – May 28, 1966) was an American basketball player and coach. A native of Sheboygan, Wisconsin, Roth attended the University of Wisconsin–Madison and played for their men's basketball team from 1929 to 1932. Six years later he played in 14 total games for the Sheboygan Red Skins during the 1938–39 season. The Red Skins were a professional franchise that competed in the National Basketball League (NBL). Roth stayed with the team as both its legal counsel and in other capacities after his one-season playing. He took over as head coach in 1942 and coached for two seasons.
