Ross Young (footballer)
Ross Young (born 9 September 1983) is an Australian rules footballer. He is most notable for his time at the Perth Football Club in the West Australian Football League (WAFL), where he served as captain and won a Sandover Medal. He had a brief career in the Australian Football League with the Carlton Football Club. Career Originally from Donald, Victoria, Young played under-18s football for the Bendigo Pioneers in the TAC Cup in 2001. Following this, Young played amateur football for three years with the University Blues in the VAFA, winning a flag and a best and fairest award with the Blues in 2004. From there, Young shifted to the Northern Bullants in the Victorian Football League in 2005, playing there for two seasons and gaining a regular place in the Bullants' seniors in 2006. Ross Young (politician)
Ross Terry Young (March 20, 1962April 9, 2021) was a Canadian provincial-level politician and financial advisor on Prince Edward Island. He served as member of the Legislative Assembly of Prince Edward Island (MLA) from 1991 to 1996, representing 1st Kings and sitting with the Prince Edward Island Liberal Party. Early life Young was born in Souris, Prince Edward Island, on March 20, 1962. His father, Ross "Johnny" Young, was also an MLA who represented 1st Kings; his mother was Helen Rae MacLean. He attended Souris Regional School, graduating in 1980, then studied commerce and Canadian studies at Mount Allison University. He later managed a store for several years and was an account executive at the Atlantic Television Network. He subsequently returned to school, obtaining a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Prince Edward Island in 1990.
