Ross Malcolm McLean, Order of Australia, AM (born 30 June 1944) is a former Liberal Party of Australia, Liberal member of the Australian House of Representatives from 1975 to 1983, representing the Division of Perth, Western Australia. Early life McLean was born in Perth on 30 June 1944. He completed the degree of Bachelor of Economics (Honours degree, Hons.) at the University of Western Australia and worked at the university as a senior administrative assistant. Politics McLean served as president of the Liberal Party's North Perth, Western Australia, North Perth division from 1969 to 1972. He was elected to the party's state council in 1976 and was a delegate to federal council. Ross McLean (civil Servant)
John Ross McLean (1905-1984), the 11th of 12 children of a Northern Manitoba minister and farmer, was born in the small prairie village of Ethelbert in 1905. He became a Canadian journalist and civil servant. In the latter role he served as the Commissioner of the National Film Board of Canada (NFB) in the 1940s, having previously been instrumental in the foundation of the Board the previous decade. Early years In the 1920s McLean studied at Brandon College, and then later at the University of Manitoba. After gaining his MA from Manitoba in 1927, he won a Rhodes Scholarship to Balliol College at the University of Oxford in the United Kingdom. After completing his academic career in 1931, he moved to work in the United States, for the Unemployment Relief Commission of Northern Illinois. Ross Andrew McLean is an English recording artist and record producer, whose first release came from Brighton-based record label, Tru Thoughts in 2003. The ''Saltwater'' EP was followed later by ''Out Of Luck'', a second EP, released on the New York City-based record label, Bastard Jazz. His tracks and remixes have been licensed to various music compilations, TV programs and computer games, such as ''FIFA Street 3 ''FIFA Street 3'' is an arcade-style sports game for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Nintendo DS.
