Ross Drummond
Ross Drummond (born 29 November 1956) is a Scottish professional golfer from Paisley whose most successful year on the PGA European Tour was chronicled by ''The Guardian's'' golf correspondent, Lawrence Donegan, in the book ''Four Iron in the Soul''. Drummond did not win a tournament on the European Tour despite a long career, although he did finish as a runner-up at the 1996 Slaley Hall Northumberland Challenge. Having retired from the European Tour at the end of 2004, Drummond now plays regularly on the European Senior Tour. Career Drummond played for 24 years on the PGA European Tour and has frequently been described as a "journeyman" professional. Since 2007, he has been playing on the European Senior Tour. Jesper Parnevik
Jesper Bo Parnevik (; born 7 March 1965) is a Swedish professional golfer. He spent 38 weeks in the top 10 of the Official World Golf Ranking in 2000 and 2001. Early years and amateur career Parnevik was born in Botkyrka, Stockholm County, and is the son of Swedish entertainer Bosse Parnevik and his wife Gertie (b. 1940). He grew up in Åkersberga. Parnevik became a member of the first group of students in Sweden to combine studying with golf training at the Swedish upper secondary sports school in Danderyd outside Stockholm. Tartan Tour
Tartan ( gd, breacan ) is a patterned cloth consisting of criss-crossed, horizontal and vertical bands in multiple colours. Tartans originated in woven wool, but now they are made in other materials. Tartan is particularly associated with Scotland, as Scottish kilts almost always have tartan patterns. Tartan is made with alternating bands of coloured (pre-dyed) threads woven as both warp and weft at right angles to each other. The weft is woven in a simple twill, two over—two under the warp, advancing one thread at each pass. Jos Vanstiphout (1951–2013) was a Belgian sports psychologist who was specialized in golf. Despite having no professional training as a psychologist, he has worked with notable clients, including Ernie Els, Thomas Levet, Retief Goosen, Michael Campbell, Pádraig Harrington, Barry Lane, Sergio García and Søren Hansen. He was a member of IMG. Early life Vanstiphout was born in Houthalen and grew up in Antwerp. He left school when he was 14 years old and took on a number of odd jobs. Caddie
In golf, a caddie (or caddy) is the person who carries a player's bag and clubs, and gives the player advice and moral support. Description A good caddie is aware of the challenges and obstacles of the golf course being played, along with the best strategy in playing it. This includes knowing overall yardage, pin placements and club selection. A caddie is not usually an employee of a private club or resort. They are classified as an "independent contractor", meaning that they are basically self-employed and do not receive any benefits or perks from their association with the club. Some clubs and resorts do have caddie programs, although benefits are rarely offered. Particularly in Europe, the vast majority of clubs do not offer caddies, and amateur players will commonly carry or pull their own bags.
