Rosaleen is an Irish female first name. It is an Anglicized version of the Irish name Róisín, the diminutive of "rose" in the Irish language; it therefore means "little rose". It has use in Ireland since the 16th century, possibly popularised by Rosaline in Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. The name featured in "Dark Rosaleen" by James Clarence Mangan, a patriotic poem disguised as a love song, in a time when nationalistic expression was outlawed in Ireland. Mohd Roslan Sulaiman is a Malaysian academic administrator. He is the Vice-Chancellor of Universiti Putra Malaysia, effective from 1 September 2020. He obtained his degree in Veterinary Medicine from Universiti Pertanian Malaysia in 1994 and doctoral degree in Nervous System Physiology from University of Edinburgh in 1999. As of 2020, he has published more than 200 research results in high-impact journals. Wan Roslan bin Wan Hamat (born 20 June 1966) is a Malaysian politician who has served as Member of the Kelantan State Executive Council (EXCO) under former Menteri Besar, Ahmad Yakob and the current Menteri Besar, Mohd. Nassuruddin Daud. He has served as the Member of the Kelantan State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Pengkalan Kubor since May 2018.
