Rosina Fernhoff
Rosina Fernhoff (born April 13, 1931) is an American actress known for her work in the theatre. She often performs plays that deal with Jewish themes. Personal life Fernhoff was born in New York City, the daughter of Austrian-Jewish immigrant parents Dr. William and Tola Fernhoff. She is a graduate of Carnegie Mellon with a B.F.A in Theatre and furthered her studies at Bank Street College of Education in New York City. She is the widow of artist, playwright, and director Avraham "Av" Inlender (d.2003). Her husband immigrated from Poland to Israel and the U.S. Both lost family members to the Holocaust. They have two daughters. Fernhoff studied acting with Lee Strasberg. She is a resident of New York City. She continues to perform in theater, film, and tour her one-woman shows. Jewish philosophy () includes all philosophy carried out by Jews, or in relation to the religion of Judaism. ''Come Back, Little Sheba'' is a 1950 play by the American dramatist William Inge. The play was Inge's first, written while he was a teacher at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. Plot Set in the Midwestern house of Lola and Doc Delaney, the plot centers on how their life is disrupted by the presence of a boarder, Marie, a college art student who has a keen interest in the young men around her. Middle-aged Lola engages in mild flirtations with the milkman and the mailman. She sees in Marie a younger version of herself and encourages her pursuit of her hometown boyfriend, the wealthy Bruce, but also her classmate, the athletic Turk. Doc, a chiropractor, abandoned a different career in medicine when he married a pregnant Lola, who subsequently lost the baby. A recovering alcoholic, Doc maintains a precarious sobriety. The Obie Awards or Off-Broadway Theater Awards are annual awards originally given by ''The Village Voice'' newspaper to theatre artists and groups in New York City. In September 2014, the awards were jointly presented and administered with the American Theatre Wing. As the Tony Awards cover Broadway productions, the Obie Awards cover off-Broadway and off-off-Broadway productions. Background The Obie Awards were initiated by Edwin (Ed) Fancher, publisher of ''The Village Voice,'' who handled the financing and business side of the project.
