Rosier (demon)
Rosier, according to the occultist Gustav Davidson in ''A Dictionary Of Angels'' (1967) is "a former lesser-rank angel of the order of dominations, now officiating in Hell", the cited source being Sebastien Michaelis' ''Admirable History of the Possession and Conversion of a Penitent Woman'' (1613). ''Admirable History of the Possession and Conversion of a Penitent Woman'' is in public domain. Rosier exists on page 325 and is described as "the second in order of Dominations, and by his sweet and sugared words, he tempteth men to fall in love. His adversary in heaven is Basil, who would not listen to amorous and inchanting language.". Rosier does not appear in the ''Bible'' or ''Apocrypha'', and is not mentioned in the ''Catholic Encyclopedia'' or '' Britannica'', but following Davidson's work of 1967. Rosier has been picked up in other occult books and in some popular culture. In popular culture * Rosier features in the novel ''Mr Mee'' (2000) by Andrew Crumey, as creator of an e ...

Rosier (song)
"Rosier" is the third single by Japanese rock band Luna Sea, released on July 21, 1994. It reached number 3 on the Oricon Singles Chart, and charted for 25 weeks. In 1998, it was certified Platinum by the RIAJ for sales over 400,000. Composition Guitarist Sugizo cited "Rosier" as one of the songs wherein he tried to replicate the "psychedelic feel of shoegaze bands" by using effects, "like playing fast with a wah-wah pedal, or using tape-echo and harmonizers. I couldn’t figure out how they did it, so I just made it into my own thing." The fast spoken English words in the middle of the song were written and performed by J. As a staple of Luna Sea concerts, J throws his mic stand over his head and behind his back after finishing his vocal part. This single version of "Rosier" is slightly different from the one on the album, ''Mother''. An 8 cm CD of a live version of the song was given away to winners of a magazine contest. Live versions also appear on the band's ''Never So ...

''Le Rosier de Madame Husson'' is a novella by Guy de Maupassant, published in 1887. The hero is a young virtuous boy, the equivalent of a Rose Queen. However, no girl can stand up to the investigations that take place, and Madame Husson crowns the village idiot, Isidore, as the 'rosier' (Rose King). He uses his reward to "slum it" in Paris. Film adaptations * 1931 : '' Le Rosier de Madame Husson'' by Bernard Deschamps (80 minutes) * 1931 : ''La Déchéance d'Isidore'', played by Fernandel, silent * 1950 : '' Le Rosier de Madame Husson'' by Jean Boyer (84 minutes).
