Rosie's Diner
Rosie's Diner is located in Rockford, Michigan. The dining car originally opened during the 1940s in Little Ferry, New Jersey, as the Silver Dollar Diner. After multiple commercials were filmed in the diner for Bounty paper towels with a fictional character named Rosie the Waitress, the diner was renamed Rosie's. Previously offered to the Smithsonian Institution, the restaurant was sold in the 1990s to a Michigan artist who had the building moved to its current location next to another diner. A third diner was later moved to the site from Fulton, New York. A series of replicas were built as part of a chain of restaurants in the Denver area. History Origins The restaurant was originally the Silver Dollar Diner in Little Ferry, New Jersey; it was built in 1946 by the Paramount Dining Car Company. Rosie's Gaming Emporium
Rosie's Gaming Emporium is a chain of gambling parlors in the U.S. state of Virginia, owned by Churchill Downs, Inc. and affiliated with its Colonial Downs racetrack. The Rosie's brand was established in 2019. As of 2023, there are seven Rosie's locations throughout Virginia, including a parlor at Colonial Downs in New Kent; five standalone parlors in Dumfries, Emporia, Hampton, Richmond, and Vinton; and a Rosie's Game Room in Collinsville within a Quality Inn hotel. The Chatham
The Chatham, popularly known as "Rosie's Bar" or just "Rosie's", was a bar on the Avenue d'Ostende in Monaco's Monte Carlo district run by Rosie Bernard. Opened by Bernard's father in 1946, the bar was popular with motor racing personalities and hydrographers. It closed due to redevelopment in 1996. History The bar was located near the Beau Rivage corner on the Circuit de Monaco. It was opened by Bernard's father in 1946 and named for the Chatham Dockyard of the British Royal Navy to appeal to the many British Naval personnel who visited the port or Monaco. Rosie's Theater Kids, formerly known as Rosie's Broadway Kids, is a non-profit arts education organization started by actress and comedian Rosie O'Donnell. RTKids was founded in 2003 and continually provides training in dance, music, and drama for students attending New York City public schools. It is based on the Maravel Arts Center, 445 W. 45th St., in Hell's Kitchen, Manhattan. The center is named for O'Donnel's teacher Pat Maravel who was instrumental in O'Donnell's interest in theatre.
