Rosario La Spina
Rosario La Spina is an Australian operatic tenor who has had an active international career since the early 2000s. He has worked with many leading opera houses and orchestras, singing under such conductors as Renato Palumbo, Bruno Bartoletti, Gary Bertini, Daniele Callegari and Richard Hickox. Since 2005, he has been particularly active with Opera Australia. Early life Rosario La Spina is of Sicilian descent. He was born and raised in Brisbane, Queensland. He first became a bricklayer in his family's business until a work accident at the age of 23 gave him time to take singing lessons. Career La Spina began singing lessons with Brisbane vocal tutor Leonard Lee. Three years later, Lee suggested La Spina attend the local music Conservatorium to gain the necessary stage experience. Rod Laver Arena is a multipurpose arena located within Melbourne Park, in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. The arena is the main venue for the Australian Open, the first Grand Slam tennis tournament of the calendar year. History Replacing the aging Kooyong Stadium, construction on the arena began in 1985. George Frideric Handel
George Frideric (or Frederick) Handel (; baptised , ; 23 February 1685 – 14 April 1759) was a German-British Baroque music, Baroque composer well known for his opera#Baroque era, operas, oratorios, anthems, concerto grosso, concerti grossi, and organ concertos. Luciana Serra
Luciana Serra (born 4 November 1946, in Genoa) is an Italian coloratura soprano. Career Serra made her international debut in 1966 as Eleonora in Cimarosa's ' at the Hungarian State Opera House in Budapest, but did not achieve general acclaim until the late 1970s, when she took on coloratura roles in Donizetti's ''Lucia di Lammermoor'' and Bellini's ''La sonnambula''. In 1988, Serra debuted at the Vienna State Opera singing the Queen of the Night in a new production of ''Die Zauberflöte'' conducted by Nikolaus Harnoncourt and staged by Otto Schenk. Her fame reached a peak during the break of the 1980s and 1990s, when she performed the Queen of the Night in ''Die Zauberflöte'' at the Royal Opera House in London and at the Metropolitan Opera in New York. SBS Radio And Television Youth Orchestra
The SBS Radio and Television Youth Orchestra (SBS Youth Orchestra) located in Sydney, was one of the premier youth orchestras of Australia. It was founded in 1988 by the Russian-born conductor Matthew Krel, who died in 2009. It was disbanded in 2013. From its inception it provided young musicians with extensive exposure to media publicity: the orchestra has made 30 TV programs and five CDs and has been aired on ABC Classic FM. Ulster Orchestra
The Ulster Orchestra, based in Belfast, is the only full-time professional orchestra in Northern Ireland. The orchestra plays the majority of its concerts in Belfast's Ulster Hall and Waterfront Hall. Bern Theatre, known in the city as Stadttheater Bern, is an opera house and theatre in Bern, Switzerland.
