Rosalind Bennett
Rosalind Sophia Bennett (born 13 May 1963) is an English stage and television actress. Rosalind was born in Rochdale, Lancashire, and trained at The Drama Centre, she went on to a number of stage, television and screen roles. Her film appearances included Miss Pickwick in ''American Roulette'' and Eleanor in ''Restoration''. Television roles included an appearance in six episodes of ''Coronation Street'' in 1986. Bennett's stage roles include Mary in ''Juno and the Paycock'' at the National Theatre. She appeared as Zoe in the '' Tales of the Unexpected'' episode (9/5) "The Facts of Life" (1988). Personal life Bennett married actor Linus Roache Linus William Roache (born 1 February 1964) is a British actor. Rochdale ( ) is a large town in Greater Manchester, England, at the foothills of the South Pennines in the dale on the River Roch, northwest of Oldham and northeast of Manchester. It is the administrative centre of the Metropolitan Borough of Rochdale, which had a population of 211,699 in the 2011 census. Located within the historic boundaries of the county of Lancashire. ''Incident in Judaea'' is a British film made by Paul Bryers, based on the novel ''The Master and Margarita'' by the Soviet author Mikhail Bulgakov. The film only tells the biblical parts of the novel though. It was broadcast by the British Channel 4 on 31 March 1991. Background Author and director Paul Bryers wrote and directed many factually-based dramas for television, radio and theatre and adapted and directed films by outstanding playwrights such as Arthur Miller and Mikhail Bulgakov. His TV-film ''Incident in Judaea'' was the first real drama Paul Bryers ever directed and it's still one of the best experiences he's had as a director. Bryers got a budget of £230,000, which was not much, but he could work with star actors like John Woodvine, Lee Montague and Mark Rylance. The Grass Arena
''The Grass Arena'' is an autobiography that was made into a British film released in 1991. It is based on the true story of John Healy. The book had been out of print for a number of years, but was re-issued on 31 July 2008. Storyline Raised in a religious family with an abusive father, young Johnny soon learns that he has to learn to defend himself. He takes up boxing, but soon falls victim to alcoholism. His boxing career over, John takes to the "Grass Arena", parks where he lives with other alcoholics. His life descends into an horrific journey of homeless alcoholism and the associated lifestyle of crime and jail and danger. Amongst other events, he describes being given the drug Antabuse in a clinical trial of some kind. In jail a fellow inmate teaches him chess and he demonstrates an extraordinary ability at the game. ''Covington Cross'' is a television series that was broadcast on ABC in the United States from August 25 to October 31, 1992. The series was created by Gil Grant, who was also executive producer. The pilot episode also aired in the United Kingdom, six days after its American broadcast.
