Rosalina Jalosjos
Rosalina Garcia Jalosjos, known locally as Nene Jalosjos, is a Filipino politician from the province of Zamboanga del Norte. She currently serves as Governor of Zamboanga del Norte since 2022, the second woman after fellow Dapitanon Guadalupe "Guading" Adaza to hold the position in the province's history. Political career Jalosjos first started her political career when she was elected as member of the Dapitan City Council from 2010 to 2013. She would go on to run for mayor of Dapitan, and won against Agapito Cardino (who only assumed office in January 2013 after the Commission on Elections nullified her brother then-Mayor Dominador Jalosjos Jr.'s 2010 victory) in 2013, 2016, and in a hotly contested 2019 election against former Dipolog City mayor Evelyn Uy where disqualification cases were filed by the Jalosjos camp to question Uy's residency requirement. Zamboanga Sibugay, officially the Province of Zamboanga Sibugay ( ceb, Lalawigan sa Zamboanga Sibugay; tl, Lalawigan ng Zamboanga Sibugay; Chavacano: ''Provincia de Zamboanga Sibugay''), is a province in the Philippines located in the Zamboanga Peninsula region in Mindanao. Svetlana Jalosjos-de Leon (professionally known as Lana Jalosjos) is a Filipina singer, politician, and former TV host of the longest afternoon running variety show Eat Bulaga!, aired on GMA Network. Family She is the daughter of Romeo G. Romeo Montague () is the male protagonist of William Shakespeare's tragedy ''Romeo and Juliet''. 2002 Zamboanga Del Norte's 1st Congressional District Special Election
A special election for Zamboanga del Norte's 1st district seat in the House of Representatives of the Philippines was held on August 26, 2002 due to Representative Romeo Jalosjos Sr. being dropped from the rolls after being convicted with finality for rape of a minor, Jalosjos' sister won the special election convincingly.
