Rory Young (sculptor)
Rory Young (21 May 1972 – 26 April 2021) was a Zambian-born Irish wildlife conservationist and anti-poaching strategist. His company, Chengeta Wildlife, operates across Africa. Young was killed by jihadists in Burkina Faso, West Africa, along with the Spanish journalist David Beriáin and the documentary filmmaker Roberto Fraile while working on a documentary about his work in Africa. Personal life Young was married to Marjet Wessels. They have two children together, a son and a daughter. The Youngs resided in the Netherlands. Young was active on the question-and-answer site Quora. He was a Top Writer on the site, and his contributions galvanized people all over the world to protect wildlife. David Beriáin
David Beriáin Amatriáin (1977 – 26 April 2021) was a Spanish journalist, producer, and documentary anchor, who specialized in armed conflicts, violence, and immersion journalism. Biography David Beriáin was born in Pamplona in a red cross clinic. He grew up between Mendigorría (where his parents Francisco Javier Beriáin Arraíza, from Uterga, Angelines Amatrian Jimeno, from Artajona, lived) and Artajona, two towns in Navarre. During an interview, he said of Artajona: After finishing high school he became interested in politics, sociology, history, philosophy, psychology, anthropology and theology. Roberto Fraile
Roberto Fraile Fernández (1974 – 26 April 2021) was a Spanish journalist and cameraman. Biography Born in Barakaldo, he lived and worked in various media in Salamanca. He was a cameraman for Salamanca television since the 1990s and for some years he was also at La 8 de Salamanca. During a good part of his career he was linked to . He combined this work with filming armed conflicts. In 2012 he was injured by an explosion in Aleppo, where he was filming insurgent troops in the context of the Syrian civil war and was operated on in a hospital and evacuated to Turkey. During the last years of his life he made documentaries in Colombia and Brazil.
