Rory Laird
Rory Laird (born 29 December 1993) is a professional Australian rules football player who plays for the Adelaide Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). He was drafted by Adelaide with pick 5 in the 2011 Rookie Draft. AFL career In his first season in the AFL, Laird did not play for Adelaide. He played 18 consecutive games for in the South Australian National Football League (SANFL), including three finals, but was dropped from the team that played in the SANFL Grand Final. The Crows elevated Laird to the senior list as a replacement for the injured Sam Shaw in April 2013, and he made his AFL debut against the in round 4 of the season. The Adelaide Footy League, formerly known as the South Australian Amateur Football League (SAAFL), is a semi-professional Australian rules football competition based in Adelaide, South Australia. Sam Shaw (born 5 April 1991) is a former professional Australian rules footballer who played for the Adelaide Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). He was recruited with pick 45 in the 2009 AFL draft, 2009 national draft from Xavier College and the Oakleigh Chargers. Playing career Shaw's first two seasons in the AFL, 2010 and 2011, were ravaged by multiple injuries that prevented him from playing consecutive SANFL games until late in 2011. Gavin Wanganeen
Gavin Adrian Wanganeen (born 18 June 1973) is a former Australian rules footballer who played for the Essendon Football Club and Port Adelaide Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL), and also for the Port Adelaide Magpies in the South Australian National Football League (SANFL). A Brownlow Medal winner and Australian Football Hall of Fame inductee, Wanganeen was appointed Port Adelaide's inaugural captain upon entry into the AFL in 1997 and is the first Indigenous Australian footballer to win the Brownlow Medal and reach the 300-game milestone at senior VFL/AFL level. Since retirement, Wanganeen has taken up painting.
