Roos Drost
Rosalin "Roos" Drost also known as Rosalin Drost (born 2 May 1991) is a Dutch women's field hockey player who plays for Netherlands women's national field hockey team. Drost made her international debut on 4 February 2013 against South Africa similar to fellow player Malou Pheninckx. She was a key member of the Dutch team which became glorious at the 2012–13 Women's FIH Hockey World League, 2013 Women's Hockey Investec Cup and in the 2014 Women's Hockey World Cup. Career She played the key role during the Dutch side's maiden triumph in the 2012–13 Women's FIH Hockey World League defeating Australia 5–1 in the Women's Hockey World League final. She also scored a goal in the final as Netherlands clinched its first ever FIH Hockey World League title. Rosalin Drost was also the member of the Netherlands women's team which won the 2013 Women's Hockey Investec Cup. The 2013 Women's EuroHockey Nations Championship was the 11th edition of the women's field hockey championship organised by the European Hockey Federation. It was held from 17 August to 24 August 2013 in Boom, Belgium. Germany defeated England in the final to win their second title. The 2012–13 Women's FIH Hockey World League Final was the 1st edition of the Finals of the FIH Hockey World League for women. It was held from 30 November to 8 December 2013 in San Miguel de Tucumán, Argentina. The Netherlands won the tournament for the first time after defeating Australia 5–1 in the finals. England won the third place match by defeating host nation Argentina 4–2 on a penalty shootout after a 1–1 draw. Qualification The host nation qualified automatically in addition to 7 teams qualified from the Semifinals. The Australia women's national field hockey team (nicknamed the Hockeyroos) are, as of January 2019, ranked third in the world. Malou Pheninckx (born 24 July 1991) is a Dutch women's field hockey player who currently plays as a midfielder for Netherlands women's national field hockey team. She also pursued her higher education at the Erasmus University Rotterdam in the field of medicine. She was a key member of the Dutch team which became glorious at the 2012–13 Women's FIH Hockey World League, 2016–17 Women's FIH Hockey World League, 2017 International Festival of Hockey and in the 2018 Women's Hockey World Cup. Women's EuroHockey Nations Championship
The Women's EuroHockey Nations Championship is an international women's field hockey competition organized by the European Hockey Federation (EHF) for the top eight European national teams. It is the top division of the EuroHockey Championships. The inaugural tournament took place in 1984. When the tournament is held close to the Summer Olympic games or the Women's Hockey World Cup, the winner of the tournament is awarded a place in those competitions. Format The tournament is played in Divisions normally consisting of eight teams. The top division, containing the eight best national teams, is called the EuroHockey Nations Championship, below which there is the EuroHockey Championship II, then the EuroHockey Championship III, then the EuroHockey Championship IV, and so on.
