Rony Oren
Rony Oren (born in 1953) is an Israeli animator, claymator and academic. In the commercial world he is best known for more than 500 animated short films in clay and over 30 children books which he illustrates or both writes and illustrates. Filmography From his "Frame by Frame" independent studio, established in 1978, he has directed and animated over 500 short films and television series that depict the Clayground method. Based on plasticine figures, a number of his films have received international awards. Oren won the Nachum Gutman prize for illustration. Oren's short films were submitted by the Israeli Broadcasting Authority and selected for screening in the Radio and Television Museum in New York and Los Angeles. Among the series he has produced are ''The Egg'' (25x25sec), ''Foxy Fables'' (13x7), ''Tales of a Wise King'' (26x6), and ''Grabbit the Rabbit'' (13x7). Animator
An animator is an artist who creates multiple images, known as frames, which give an illusion of movement called animation when displayed in rapid sequence. Animators can work in a variety of fields including film, television, and video games. Animation is closely related to filmmaking and like filmmaking is extremely labor-intensive, which means that most significant works require the collaboration of several animators. The methods of creating the images or frames for an animation piece depend on the animators' artistic styles and their field. Bezalel Academy Of Art And Design
Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design ( he, בצלאל, אקדמיה לאמנות ועיצוב) is a public college of design and art located in Jerusalem. Established in 1906 by Jewish painter and sculptor Boris Schatz, Bezalel is Israel's oldest institution of higher education and is considered the most prestigious art school in the country. Steimatzky ( he, סטימצקי) is the oldest and largest bookstore chain in Israel. History Under Tzvi Steimatzky, 1920–25 The first store was opened by Tzvi Steimatzky in 1920 in Tel Aviv, 6 Herzl St. Under Yechezkel Steimatzky, 1925–63 In 1925 Tzvi's half brother Yechezkel Steimatzky opened the second store on Jaffa Road in Jerusalem. Yechezkel Steimatzky was a Russian-born immigrant from Germany. He had originally come to the British Mandate of Palestine on a short visit for the opening of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and decided to stay after he saw the potential in opening a foreign language bookstore that would serve a growing immigrants' market as well as British Army soldiers serving under the British Mandate. Dror Green (born 1954) (Hebrew: דרור גרין) is a psychotherapist and author. He developed the method of Emotional Training, based on his concept of human nature. Although he was descended from a family that had lived in Israel for ten generations, he did not identify with Zionism, as he writes in the introduction to his book, ''ABC of Israeli Apartheid''. Biography Green was born in Jerusalem in 1954. As a thirteen-year-old boy he witnessed Israeli soldiers destroying a Palestinian neighborhood near the Western Wall in the old city of Jerusalem. As a soldier in the war of 1973 between Israel, Syria and Egypt, he witnessed the Israeli army destroying villages before withdrawing from occupied Syrian territory.
