Rony Chowdhury
Rony Chowdhury (born 1 December 1995) is a Bangladeshi cricketer. He made his first-class debut for Chittagong Division in the 2016–17 National Cricket League on 2 October 2016. In May 2021, Chowdhury was named in Khelaghar Samaj Kallyan Samity's squad for the 2021 Dhaka Premier Division Twenty20 Cricket League tournament. He made his Twenty20 debut on 7 June 2021, for Khelaghar Samaj Kallyan Samity, and took two wickets in the match. Cricket is a bat-and-ball game played between two teams of eleven players on a field at the centre of which is a pitch with a wicket at each end, each comprising two bails balanced on three stumps. The batting side scores runs by striking the ball bowled at one of the wickets with the bat and then running between the wickets, while the bowling and fielding side tries to prevent this (by preventing the ball from leaving the field, and getting the ball to either wicket) and dismiss each batter (so they are "out"). First-class cricket, along with List A cricket and Twenty20 cricket, is one of the highest-standard forms of cricket. A first-class match is one of three or more days' scheduled duration between two sides of eleven players each and is officially adjudged to be worthy of the status by virtue of the standard of the competing teams. Matches must allow for the teams to play two innings each, although in practice a team might play only one innings or none at all. Chittagong Division Cricket Team
Chottogram Division cricket team represents the Chittagong Division, one of the seven administrative regions in Bangladesh. The team was founded in 1999 to compete in the National Cricket League (NCL) and plays first-class cricket. For the short-lived National Cricket League Twenty20 in 2010, the team adopted the name Cyclones of Chittagong (often abbreviated as CC). The equivalent team in the Bangladesh Premier League is the Chittagong Vikings (qv), replacing the Chittagong Kings. Chittagong Division play most of their home games at the Zohur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium (ZAC) in the port city of Chittagong. The ZAC has superseded the older M. A. 2016–17 National Cricket League
The 2016–17 National Cricket League was the eighteenth edition of the National Cricket League, a first-class cricket competition that was held in Bangladesh. The tournament started on 25 September 2016 and concluded on 6 January 2017. Khulna Division were the defending champions. Heavy rain affected the first three rounds of matches, with only two matches out of twelve ending in a result other than a draw. The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced that all matches scheduled to take place on 14 October 2016 would be delayed until the weather improved. However, there was no improvement in the weather and those matches and future fixtures were postponed due to the upcoming Bangladesh Premier League (BPL). Khelaghar Samaj Kallyan Samity
Khelaghar Samaj Kallyan Samity is a Bangladeshi cricket team that has played List A cricket in the Dhaka Premier League in 2013–14, 2016–17, 2017–18 and 2021–22. Its name translates as "Khelaghar Social Welfare Association". Khelaghar is a patriotic youth cultural organization founded in Dacca in 1952, which has over 500 branches around Bangladesh. 2021 Dhaka Premier Division Twenty20 Cricket League
The 2021 Dhaka Premier Division Twenty20 Cricket League was the second edition of the Dhaka Premier Division Twenty20 Cricket League, a Twenty20 cricket competition that was held in Bangladesh. The tournament replaced the 2019–20 Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League, which was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and featured the same twelve teams playing in the Twenty20 format instead of the List A format. Twenty20
Twenty20 (T20) is a shortened game format of cricket. At the professional level, it was introduced by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) in 2003 for the inter-county competition. In a Twenty20 game, the two teams have a single innings each, which is restricted to a maximum of 20 overs. 2021–22 Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League
The 2021–22 Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League was an edition of the Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League, a List A cricket competition that was held in Bangladesh. It was the eighth edition of the tournament with List A status, although almost 35 seasons have been played before achieving the status. The tournament took place from 15 March to 28 April 2022. The previous edition of the tournament, in March 2020, ended after just one round of matches, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The tournament was abandoned and later replaced by the 2021 Dhaka Premier Division Twenty20 Cricket League.
