Ronen Tzur
Ronen Tzur ( he, רונן צור, born 27 July 1969) is an Israeli politician who briefly served as a member of the Knesset for the Labor Party in 2006. Political career Ronen Tzur entered politics in 1990, joining the Labor Party. In later years he served as coordinator of the party's faction at the Knesset (under Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin), political advisor to minister Binyamin Ben-Eliezer, and director of an association for discharged soldiers. He was placed 28th on the Labor Party list for the 2003 elections, in which the party won 19 seats. However, he entered the Knesset on 22 January 2006 following the resignation of Salah Tarif, serving during the last three months of its term. In 2010, Tzur advised former president Moshe Katzav regarding the allegations of rape for which he was convicted in 2010. Israeli Labor Party
The Israeli Labor Party ( he, מִפְלֶגֶת הָעֲבוֹדָה הַיִּשְׂרְאֵלִית, ), commonly known as HaAvoda ( he, הָעֲבוֹדָה, , The Labor), is a social democratic and Zionist political party in Israel. The party was established in 1968 by a merger of Mapai, Ahdut HaAvoda, and Rafi. Until 1977, all Israeli Prime Ministers were affiliated with the Labor movement. Adass Israel School Sex Abuse Scandal
The Adass Israel School sex abuse scandal () is a criminal case and extradition dispute regarding allegations of child sex abuse at a Jewish religious school in Melbourne, Australia. A former principal, Malka Leifer, will stand trial in 2022 on 70 sex offence charges laid by Victoria Police, with accusations from at least eight alleged victims. Leifer, a dual Israeli-Australian citizen, fled under suspicious circumstances shortly before a warrant could be issued, and remained in Israel from 2008 until January 2021, under varying levels of police and court supervision, pending the resolution of her extradition case. The Knesset ( he, הַכְּנֶסֶת ; "gathering" or "assembly") is the unicameral legislature of Israel. Moshe Katsav ( he, מֹשֶׁה קַצָּב; born 5 December 1945) is an Israeli former politician who was the eighth President of Israel from 2000 to 2007. He was also a leading Likud member of the Israeli Knesset and a minister in its cabinet. He was the second Mizrahi Jew to be elected to presidency, after Yitzhak Navon.
