Ronen Shoval
Ronen Shoval ( he, רונן שובל, born 1980 in Ramat Hasharon) is an Israeli philosopher. Shoval is the Dean of the Tikvah Fund and head of the Argaman Institute. He is Associate Research Scholar and Lecturer in Politics at Princeton University. Shoval is married, and has five children. Ronen holds a B.A in international relations and an M.A in Jewish Philosophy from the Hebrew University. He earned a PhD in Jewish political thought from the Paris West University Nanterre La Défense (graduating summa cum laude, mentored by Prof. Shmuel Trigano). The Institute for Zionist Strategies ( he, המכון לאסטרטגיה ציונית; IZS) is an Israeli policy and research think tank that is ideologically Zionist. The IZS was established in 2005 by Israel Harel and Attorney Joel Golovensky. It is based in Jerusalem. IZS's chairman is Yoaz Hendel. Hebrew (; ; ) is a Northwest Semitic language of the Afroasiatic language family. Israeli Jews or Jewish Israelis ( he, יהודים ישראלים, translit=Yehudim Yisraelim) are Israeli citizens and nationals who are Jewish through either their Jewish ethnicity and/or their adherence to Judaism. Knesset
The Knesset ( he, הַכְּנֶסֶת ; "gathering" or "assembly") is the unicameral legislature of Israel. As the supreme state body, the Knesset is sovereign and thus has complete control of the entirety of the Israeli government (with the exception of checks and balances from the courts and local governments). The Knesset passes all laws, elects the president and prime minister (although the latter is ceremonially appointed by the President), approves the cabinet, and supervises the work of the government, among other things. In addition, the Knesset elects the state comptroller. It also has the power to waive the immunity of its members, remove the president and the state comptroller from office, dissolve the government in a constructive vote of no confidence, and to dissolve itself and call new elections. 2015 Israeli Legislative Election
Early elections for the twentieth Knesset were held in Israel on 17 March 2015. Disagreements within the governing coalition, particularly over the budget and a "Jewish state" proposal, led to the dissolution of the government in December 2014.
