Ronald Y. K. Fung
Ronald Y. K. Fung (; born 1937) was professor of Biblical Studies at China Graduate School of Theology. He is best known for his ''Galatians'' contribution to commentary series the New International Commentary on the New Testament. Biography Fung completed a BA from the University of Hong Kong in 1960 and studied at London Bible College from 1962 to 1965, completing a BD from London University in 1966. He later completed his ThM at Fuller Theological Seminary in 1971, before completing a PhD from University of Manchester in 1975, on a thesis supervised by F. F. Bruce entitled "The Relationship Between Righteousness and Faith in the Thought of Paul: as Expressed in the Letters to the Galatians and the Romans." Recognized as an important name in Hong Kong biblical scholarship, Fung spent most of his career as a Professor of Biblical Studies at China Graduate School of Theology in Hong Kong. China Graduate School Of Theology
The China Graduate School of Theology (CGST) is a theological seminary in Kowloon Tong, Hong Kong. The President is Bernard Wong, who succeeded Stephen Lee in 2021. CGST is accredited by the Asia Theological Association to offer Master of Christian Studies, Master of Divinity, and Master of Theology degrees. It is also a member of the Association for Theological Education in South East Asia. History CGST started on 28 September 1975. In the mid 1960s, a group of students at Westminster Theological Seminary developed the idea of establishing "an indigenous, inter-denominational, evangelical and graduate level theological institution for the purpose of training university graduates to serve the churches in China and to evangelize around the world." The Victoria University of Manchester, usually referred to as simply the University of Manchester, was a university in Manchester, England. It was founded in 1851 as Owens College. In 1880, the college joined the federal Victoria University. London Bible College
The London School of Theology (LST), formerly London Bible College, is a British interdenominational evangelical theological college based in Northwood within the London Borough of Hillingdon. History During the 1930s A. J. Vereker, secretary of the Crusaders' Union, Sir John Laing and others set up a meeting to propose a Bible college in London which would provide high quality academic training for Christian teachers in the City. The initial meeting, in May 1939, was followed by a larger one with greater representation, which set the vision and plans for the college. Subsequent meetings that year, which included preacher Dr. D. Martyn Lloyd Jones, drew up a report which included an outline of the fundamentals of the college. The ''Journal of the Evangelical Theological Society'' is a Scholarly peer review, refereed List of theological journals, theological journal published by the Evangelical Theological Society. It was first published in 1958 as the ''Bulletin of the Evangelical Theological Society'', and was given its present name in 1969. It is a "major journal of conservative American theology." History The journal has been published continuously since 1958. The first issue of the ''Bulletin'' contained a single article, Ned B. Stonehouse's presidential address to the society's annual meeting, entitled "The Infallibility of Scripture and Evangelical Progress." In 1969 the publication attained its present title.
