Ronald Torbert
Ronald Torbert is an American football official in the National Football League (NFL). He has been an official since the 2010 NFL season. He wears uniform number 62. Early life Torbert graduated from Michigan State University and attended Harvard Law School earning a Juris doctor. Career Torbert began his NFL officiating career in 2010 as a side judge before becoming a referee in the 2014 NFL season after Scott Green and Ron Winter announced they were retiring. Torbert is one of only eight African-American referees in NFL history, after Johnny Grier, Mike Carey, Jerome Boger, and Don Carey; he preceded Shawn Smith, Adrian Hill, and Tra Blake. Torbert was the alternate referee for Super Bowl LIII. He is also featured in the NFL 100 year anniversary video which aired during that Super Bowl. Shawn Smith is a National Football League (NFL) official. He wears uniform number 14. He entered the league in the season as an umpire, and was promoted to referee for the season, following the retirements of Terry McAulay and Gene Steratore. Cletus W. Blakeman (born June 23, 1964) is an American football official in the National Football League (NFL). His uniform number is 34. He played college football at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. Outside of his work as an NFL official, he is a partner and personal injury attorney in the law firm of Carlson Blakeman LLP in Omaha, Nebraska. Jerome "Tra" Blake is an American football official in the National Football League (NFL) since the 2020 NFL season, wearing uniform number 33 until ; he now wears uniform number 3. Career Blake officiated in Conference USA and the Atlantic Coast Conference, where he worked at deep wing and referee positions. Adrian Hill (born in Washington, D.C.) is an American football official in the National Football League (NFL) since the 2010 NFL season, wearing uniform number 29. Career Hill was an official in Conference USA, where he worked at the referee position. In 2007, Hill worked in the now-defunct NFL Europe league as a line judge.
