Ron Camm
Ronald Ernest Camm (22 July 1914 – 15 March 1988) was a member of the Queensland Legislative Assembly. Biography Camm was born in Emerald, Queensland, Emerald, Queensland, the son of Jonathan Robert Camm and his wife Tassie (née Johnson). He was educated in Rockhampton and Mackay, Queensland, Mackay and began his working life for OE Neale in Mackay. After a time working as a labourer in Bloomsbury he became a canefarmer at Mount Julia. Pastoral Farming
Pastoral farming (also known in some regions as ranching, livestock farming or grazing) is aimed at producing livestock, rather than growing crops. The Parliament of Queensland is the legislature of Queensland, Australia. As provided under the Constitution of Queensland, the Parliament consists of the Monarch of Australia and the Legislative Assembly. Mackay, Queensland
} Mackay () is a city in the Mackay Region on the eastern or Coral Sea coast of Queensland, Australia. It is located about north of Brisbane, on the Pioneer River. Mackay is described as being in either Central Queensland or North Queensland, as these regions are not precisely defined. More generally, the area is known as the Mackay–Whitsunday Region. Mackay is nicknamed the sugar capital of Australia because its region produces more than a third of Australia's sugar. Name The city was named after John Mackay. Rockhampton is a city in the Rockhampton Region of Central Queensland, Australia. Queensland Legislative Assembly
The Legislative Assembly of Queensland is the sole chamber of the unicameral Parliament of Queensland established under the Constitution of Queensland. Elections are held every four years and are done by full preferential voting. The Assembly has 93 members, who have used the letters MP after their names since 2000 (previously they were styled MLAs). There is approximately the same population in each electorate; however, that has not always been the case (in particular, a malapportionment system - not, strictly speaking, a gerrymander - dubbed the ''Bjelkemander'' was in effect during the 1970s and 1980s). Amanda Camm
Amanda Jane Camm (born 18 April 1979) is a member of the Parliament of Queensland representing the Liberal Nationals. She first stood for the seat of Whitsunday as a member of Katter's Australian Party in the 2012 Queensland State election. Camm was elected deputy mayor of the Mackay Regional Council in April 2016. She was a candidate for the Australian Senate in May 2019 but, being placed fifth on the LNP ticket, was not elected. At the 2020 Queensland state election Camm defeated Jason Costigan in the seat of Whitsunday.
