Ron Blaauw (chef)
Ron Blaauw (born 7 September 1967, in Hoorn) is a Dutch head chef and TV-personality, known for his cooking in the Michelin starred restaurant Ron Blaauw. Culinary career After finishing his secondary school he started working as cook in De Kersentuin in Amsterdam. He also worked in ''Aujourd'hui'' and t Jagershuis''. In 1999, he started his own restaurant ''Ron Blaauw'' in Ouderkerk aan de Amstel. In 2004 and 2005 he was awarded one Michelin star for his cooking there. From 2006 to present he was awarded two stars each year by the Michelin Guide. After a long and strict procedure, Blaauw was appointed SVH-meesterkok in June 2010. In 2011, Blaauw moved his restaurant to Amsterdam. At the old location he created a new bistro-type fish restaurant with the name ''Ron's Vis van de Dag'' (Eng.: ''Ron's Fish of the Day''). Hoorn
Hoorn () is a city and municipality in the northwest of the Netherlands, in the province of North Holland. It is the largest town and the traditional capital of the region of West Friesland. Hoorn is located on the Markermeer, 20 kilometers (12 mi) east of Alkmaar and 35 kilometers (22 mi) north of Amsterdam. Abcoude
Abcoude () is a town and former municipality in the Netherlands, in the province of Utrecht. Since 2011 it has been part of the municipality of De Ronde Venen. Population centres The former municipality of Abcoude consisted of the villages Abcoude and Baambrugge, and the hamlet Stokkelaarsbrug. Geography Abcoude lies in the Province Utrecht, about 13 km southeast of (the centre of) Amsterdam, on the confluence of the Angstel River, Gein River and Holendrecht River. In 2001, the town of Abcoude had 6431 inhabitants. The built-up area of the town was 1.28 km², and contained 2678 residences. The current approximation is over 8000. Gault et Millau is a French restaurant guide. It was founded by two restaurant critics, Henri Gault and Christian Millau in 1965. Points system Gault Millau rates on a scale of 1 to 20, with 20 being the highest. Restaurants given below 10 points are rarely listed. The points are awarded based on the quality of the food, with comments about service, price or the atmosphere of the restaurant given separately. Based on this rating, high-ranking restaurants may display one to four toques. Gault Millau does not accept payment for listing restaurants. Loenen Aan De Vecht
Loenen aan de Vecht (or just Loenen) is a village in the Dutch province of Utrecht. It was the main village in the former municipality of Loenen. Since 2011 it has become part of the newly formed municipality of Stichtse Vecht. It lies about 10 km west of Hilversum. History The village was first mentioned in 953 as Lona, and is probably the name of a waterway. In 1978, it was officially named Loenen aan de Vecht to distinguish from the other villages named Loenen. Loenen developed along the river Vecht. was built next to the village in the 13th century. The castle was destroyed in 1296 after some of the murderers of Floris V, Count of Holland sought shelter in the castle. The area was confiscated by Holland and became an enclave within Utrecht. Aalsmeer () is a municipality and a town in the Netherlands, in the province of North Holland. Its name is derived from the Dutch for eel (''aal'') and lake (''meer'').
