Romsdalshalvøya, sometimes translated as the Romsdal Peninsula, is a peninsula located in the Romsdal district of Møre og Romsdal county in Norway. The peninsula encompasses the western Norwegian municipalities of Molde, Gjemnes, and Hustadvika. The peninsula is connected to the mainland by a wide isthmus between the villages of Eidsvåg and Eidsøra in Molde Municipality. The peninsula is flanked by a number of fjords: Langfjord and Romsdalsfjord to the south, Julsund (to the west), Hustadvika to the north, Kornstadfjord and Kvernesfjord to the north-east, and Tingvollfjorden and Sunndalsfjord Sunndalsfjorden (or just ''Sunndalsfjord'') is a fjord in Sunndal Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. Møre og Romsdal (; en, Møre and Romsdal) is a county in the northernmost part of Western Norway. It borders the counties of Trøndelag, Innlandet, and Vestland. The county administration is located in the town of Molde, while Ålesund is the largest town. Sunndalsfjorden (or just ''Sunndalsfjord'') is a fjord in Sunndal Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. The long Sunndalsfjorden comprises the southern end of the main Tingvollfjorden. Tingvollfjorden is a fjord in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. The long fjord passes through the municipalities of Tingvoll, Gjemnes, Molde, and Sunndal. Kornstadfjorden or Kornstadfjord is a fjord that runs between Averøy Municipality and Hustadvika Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. Julsundet is a long strait connecting the Norwegian Sea to the Romsdalsfjorden. The strait is located about west of the town of Molde in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway.
