Romel Andrews (born July 4, 1963) is a former American football defensive end who played eight seasons in the Canadian Football League with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and Winnipeg Blue Bombers. He played college football at the University of Tennessee at Martin and attended Ripley High School in Ripley, Tennessee. Romel Beck
Romel Roberto Beck-Castro (born May 29, 1982) is a Mexican professional basketball player who last played for Aguacateros de Michoacan of the Liga Nacional de Baloncesto Profesional (LNPB). He also played for the Mexico national basketball team. Beck is probably best known for crossing over Kobe Bryant and scoring a rare four-point play against the USA Men's basketball guard during the 2007 FIBA Americas Championship. After having decided against playing for KK Zadar of Croatia, Beck signed to play for Los Tecos of Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara of the Mexican Basketball Federation in 2008 for two months. Beck previously played in Italy with Pierrel Capo d'Orlando and Varese. Romel Beck was drafted by the Florida Flame in the first round of the NBDL Draft, and he played for them for a season. Romel Raffin
Romel Raffin (born April 23, 1954, in Toronto, Ontario) is a three-time Canadian Olympian in men's basketball. A resident of Kitchener, Ontario, Raffin played for Canada at the 1976, 1984, and 1988 Summer Olympics. He was a member of the 1980 team as well which had qualified for the tournament but did not participate due to the Canadian Olympic Committee's decision to boycott the Moscow games. A centre- forward, Raffin played college basketball for the Penn State Nittany Lions from 1974 to 1978. He played professionally in Italy for one year and spent another year playing pro in Venezuela, with Cocodrilos de Caracas. In the early 80's Raffin taught physical education, as well as some other courses at Woodman Jr. High in Calgary. Raffin became basketball coach at Central Memorial High School in Calgary in 1989 and the school's athletic director in 1994.
