A midfielder is an outfield position in association football. Midfielders may play an exclusively defensive role, breaking up attacks, and are in that case known as defensive midfielders. As central midfielders often go across boundaries, with mobility and passing ability, they are often referred to as deep-lying midfielders, play-makers, box-to-box midfielders, or holding midfielders. FC Kuusankoski is a football club from Kuusankoski, Kouvola in Finland. The club was formed in 1996 and their home ground is at the Kuusankosken urheilupuisto. The men's first team currently plays in the Kakkonen (Second Division). The head coach of FC Kuusankoski is Janne Pahkala.
