Schaan () is the largest municipality of Liechtenstein by population. It is located to the north of Vaduz, the capital, in the central part of the country. it has a population of 6,039 making it the most populous administrative district in Liechtenstein. The Six Days of Bremen is a six-day track cycling race held annually in Bremen, Germany. The event was first held in 1910 as a one-off event and has been a regular event since 1965. It is held at the ÖVB Arena. The event was cancelled in 2021 and 2022 because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The next event is planned for January 12–15, 2024. Charly Mottet
Charly Mottet (born 16 December 1962 in Valence, Drôme) is a French former professional cyclist (1983 to 1994). He was one of the best French road cyclists of his era. His daughter, Eva Mottet, was also a road racing cyclist. She competed as a junior at the 2012 UCI Road World Championships, where she heavily crashed in the women's junior road race. Charly Mottet was an UCI-official at the race. Eva would never fully recover. Dietrich Thurau
Dietrich ("Didi") Thurau (; born 9 November 1954 in Frankfurt) is a retired German professional road bicycle racer. His biggest career achievements include winning the one-day classic, Liège–Bastogne–Liège, his home country's Deutschland Tour and surprising the field at the 1977 Tour de France by capturing four stages and holding the yellow jersey as leader of the general classification from the prologue for 15 days. Thurau did win the young rider classification although he lost the overall lead to eventual winner Bernard Thévenet. Thurau was German pursuit champion three times and won 29 six-day races. Urs Freuler
Urs Freuler (born 6 November 1958 in Bilten, Canton of Glarus) is a Swiss cyclist, who raced professionally between 1980 and 1997, during which he won 124 victories. He was named Swiss Sports Personality of the Year in 1982 and 1983. He was born in Bilten. As an amateur, he was the champion of his country in several categories and also achieved fame in international competitions. He was a racer of great speed, who participated both in road races as well as track cycling. In the latter, he was the world champion in the keirin twice and the points race eight times and victor in 21 six-day races. On the road, he was victorious in numerous stages and criteriums. Six Days Of Ghent
The Six Days of Ghent ( nl, Zesdaagse Vlaanderen-Gent) is a six-day track cycling race held annually in Ghent, Belgium. It takes place in the Kuipke velodrome in Ghent's ''Citadelpark''. The 2006 event from 21 November to 26 November was marred by the death of one of the riders. During the fifth day's racing, Isaac Gálvez of Spain rode into the barrier edging the outside of the track and died on his way to hospital. The event includes the Memorial Patrick Sercu madison, named after the former race director at Ghent and holder of the world record for number of six-day victories, Patrick Sercu, who died in 2019. The 2009 event took place from 24 November to 29 November. A Danish team formed by Alex Rasmussen and his companion Michael Mørkøv won with a 3-point difference. Tony Doyle (cyclist)
Anthony Paul Doyle (born 19 May 1958) is a British former professional cyclist. Biography Doyle was world pursuit champion in 1980 and 1986. He was a professional between 1980 and 1995, riding for British teams. Doyle represented England and won two bronze medals in the 4,000 metres individual and team pursuit events, at the 1978 Commonwealth Games in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. He finished seventh in the team pursuit at the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow as part of the British team. He was not selected for the individual pursuit even though he was the national champion. The place went to Sean Yates. As a result, Doyle turned professional and won the world professional pursuit championship, beating Bert Oosterbosch and Herman Ponsteen. He then raced six-day track races with a variety of partners before achieving great results partnering the Australian Danny Clark.
