The Diocese of Florida ( la, Dioecesis Floridensis) is a Latin Church ecclesiastical territory or diocese of the Catholic Church in southern Uruguay. It is a suffragan diocese in the ecclesiastical province (covering all Uruguay) of the metropolitan Archdiocese of Montevideo. Its cathedra is a minor basilica, the Catedral Basílica de Nuestra Señora del Luján, dedicated to Our Lady of Luján, in the episcopal see of Florida, Uruguay. The current bishop, Martín Pablo Pérez Scremini, was appointed in March 2008. Roman Catholic Archdiocese Of Montevideo
The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Montevideo ( la, Archidioecesis Montisvidei) is an archdiocese of the Latin Church of the Roman Catholic church in Uruguay. History Erected as the Apostolic Vicariate of Montevideo by Pope Gregory XVI on 14 August 1832, the vicariate was promoted to the Diocese of Montevideo on 13 July 1878 by Pope Leo XIII. It was elevated to the rank of a metropolitan archdiocese on 14 April 1897. The new archdiocese became the Metropolitan of the suffragan sees: Canelones, Florida, Maldonado–Punta del Este, Melo, Mercedes, Minas, Salto, San José de Mayo, Tacuarembó. Montevideo is the only archdiocese in Uruguay and its archbishop is thus seen as leader of the Uruguayan Church. The archdiocese's mother church and thus seat of its archbishop is the Montevideo Metropolitan Cathedral. Ulpiana
Ulpiana was an ancient Roman city located in what is today Kosovo. It was also named Justiniana Secunda ( la, Iustiniana Secunda). Ulpiana is situated in the municipality of Lipjan. The Minicipium Ulpiana - ''Iustiniana Secunda'' was proclaimed archaeological park under permanent protection of Kosovo by the Kosova Council for Cultural Heritage in 2016. The protection zone of the Archaeological Park has 96.23 ha and includes also Justinopolis, constructed during the reign of Justinian. Ulpiana was among the largest settlements in the Balkans of the late antiquity. Naming During the 3rd and 4th centuries AD, Ulpiana reached a peak of development, leading to it being ascribed the epithet ''Splendissima'' ("Magnificent").
