The Roman Catholic Diocese of Colima ( la, Dioecesis Colimensis) (erected 11 December 1881) is a suffragan diocese of the Archdiocese of Guadalajara. On Monday, November 11, 2013, Pope Francis named Bishop Marcelino Hernández Rodríguez, until then the Bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Orizaba (based in Orizaba, Mexico) as the Bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Colima, replacing the Bishop José Luis Amezcua Melgoza, who submitted his resignation at the age of 75 as is usual. Colima () is a city that is the capital of the Colima state and the seat of Colima municipality, located in central−western Mexico. It is located near the Colima volcano, which divides the small state from that of Jalisco. The city of Colima is the capital of the state of the same name. It is the second largest municipality after Manzanillo by population. They were beheaded during the reign of Diocletian; the date of their execution is given as 25 October 285 or 286.
