Roland JV-1080
The Roland JV-1080 ( Super JV, Super JV-1080, or simply 1080) is a sample-based synthesizer/sound module in the form of a 2U rack. The JV-1080's synthesizer engine was also used in Roland's XP-50 workstation (1995). Due to its stellar library of sounds and multi-timbral capabilities, it became a mainstay with film composers. Features The JV-1080 features a 64-Voice Polyphony, as well as 16-part Multi-timbral capabilities. From the factory, the JV-1080 comes with hundreds of patches, and several rhythm kits (8 megabytes total). It can be expanded with up to 4 SR-JV80 expansion cards, as well as a PCM and Data card, to provide up to 42 megabytes. Factory Sounds The core sampled waveforms of the JV-1080 were developed by Roland R&D-LA in Culver City, California. Many of the most well-known Factory presets and Xpansion board sounds of the JV-series were created by Eric Persing of Spectrasonics and Ace Yukawa. Roland Corporation
is a Japanese manufacturer of electronic musical instruments, electronic equipment, and software. It was founded by Ikutaro Kakehashi in Osaka on 18 April 1972. In 2005, its headquarters relocated to Hamamatsu in Shizuoka Prefecture. It has factories in Malaysia, Taiwan, Japan, and the United States. As of 31 March 2010, it employed 2,699 people. In 2014, it was subject to a management buyout by its CEO, Junichi Miki, supported by Taiyo Pacific Partners. Philip Pope
Philip R. J. Pope is a British composer and actor. He is best known for role as Tony Angelino in Only Fools And Horses. He was educated at Downside School and New College, Oxford. Performer Pope appeared in the Oxford Revue in Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 1978 and 1979, both with Angus Deayton. He performed in the BBC radio comedy series '' Radio Active'' (1980–87) and has also starred in a number of television comedy series, including ''Who Dares Wins'' (1983–88), ''Chelmsford 123'' (1988–90), ''Round the Bend'' (1989–91) and '' KYTV'' (1989–93). He made guest appearances in ''Blackadder'' as the painter Leonardo Acropolis, and in '' Shelley'' as pop star Hobo (with Hywel Bennett as James Shelley). Michael Cretu
Michael Cretu ( ro, Mihai Crețu, ; born 18 May 1957) is a Romanian-German musician, singer, songwriter, and record producer. He gained worldwide fame as the founder and musician behind the musical project Enigma, which he formed in 1990. Luis Delgado (musician)
Luis Delgado (born 16 July 1956 in Madrid) is a Spanish instrumentalist, composer, and producer. Delgado's work combines organic elements from Arab-Andalusian music, oriental and Medieval styles, with electronic elements from the avant-garde. He formed the electronic and industrial musical duo Mecánica Popular, with Eugenio Muñoz in 1978, the group Finis Africae with Javier Bergia and Juan Alberto Arteche in the mid-80s, and the folk group Babia with Arteche and Luis Paniagua.
