Vladimir Abramovich Rokhlin
Vladimir Abramovich Rokhlin ( Russian language, Russian: Влади́мир Абра́мович Ро́хлин) (23 August 1919 – 3 December 1984) was a USSR, Soviet mathematician, who made numerous contributions in algebraic topology, geometry, measure theory, probability theory, ergodic theory and entropy, entropy theory. Life Vladimir Abramovich Rokhlin was born in Baku, Azerbaijan Democratic Republic, Azerbaijan, to a wealthy Jewish family. His mother, Henrietta Emmanuilovna Levenson, had studied medicine in France (she died in Baku in 1923, believed to have been killed during civil unrest provoked by an epidemic). His maternal grandmother, Clara Levenson, had been one of the first female doctors in Russia. His maternal grandfather Emmanuil Levenson was a wealthy businessman (he was also the illegitimate father of Korney Chukovsky, who was thus Henrietta's half-brother). Lev Rokhlin
Lev Yakovlevich Rokhlin (russian: Лев Яковлевич Рохлин; 1947–1998) was a career officer in the Soviet and Russian armies. Rokhlin reached the top of the Russian military, quickly rising through the ranks during and after the Soviet–Afghan War. After the Soviet Union fell, he started a political career and became a member of the Russian State Duma and the chairman of the State Duma's Defense Committee. He was shot to death in 1998 under mysterious circumstances. Early career Lev Rokhlin was the youngest of three children in the family of a war veteran, the political exile Yakov Lvovich Rokhlin. Vera Rockline
Véra Rockline (, ''Vera Nikolaïevna Rokhlina''; 1896 – 4 April 1934) was a Russian post-impressionist painter. Personal life and career Rockline was the daughter of a Russian man and a French woman, and started her career in Moscow, studying in the studio of Ilya Mashkov, who considered her one of his most brilliant students. In 1918 she became an apprentice at Aleksandra Ekster's studio in Kiev, Ukraine. Ekster, who personally knew Pablo Picasso and Guillaume Apollinaire had great influence on Rockline's initial style, also inspiring her creative and free painting spirit. In 1918 and 1919, she exhibited at the 24th Moscow Artists Association Exposition, and in other gallery and association exhibitions. Also in 1918, she married a Mr.Rokhlin, from whom she adopted his name. Barbro Charlotte Rohlin (born 2 December 1980) is a Swedish former footballer who played as a defender and captained Damallsvenskan club Linköpings FC. She won 77 caps for the Sweden women's national football team between 2007 and 2015. Club career Rohlin began playing for Linköpings in 1987, while they were still attached to BK Kenty, and progressed up through the youth teams. In 2009 Rohlin rejected an approach from Philadelphia Independence of the American Women's Professional Soccer (WPS), to extend her contract with Linköpings.
