Rokas Giedraitis
Rokas Giedraitis (born August 16, 1992) is a Lithuanian professional basketball player for Baskonia of the Liga ACB and the EuroLeague. He plays at the small forward position. Professional career In 2013, Giedraitis was named Finals MVP of the NKL after scoring 26 points and leading his team to title. He then signed with BC Šiauliai club in which his father played his whole career. After continuing his solid playing, Giedraitis was later signed by the Lithuanian powerhouse Lietuvos rytas Vilnius and joined it in 2015. On July 5, 2018, Giedraitis terminated his contract with the team. On July 6, 2018, he signed a three-year contract with Alba Berlin of the Basketball Bundesliga. On July 4, 2020, Giedraitis signed a three-year deal with the Spanish League champions Saski Baskonia. On 9 October 2020, Giedraitis scored 26 points in the EuroLeague and this way achieved his new career-high in the league. Liga ACB
The Liga ACB, known as Liga Endesa for sponsorship reasons, is the top professional basketball division of the Spanish basketball league system. Administrated by the Asociación de Clubs de Baloncesto (ACB), Liga ACB is contested by 18 teams, with the two lowest-placed teams relegated to the LEB Oro and replaced by the top team in that division plus the winner of the promotion playoffs. The competition was founded as the ACB Primera División on 1983 following the decision of clubs in the Liga Nacional, founded in 1957, to break away from the Spanish Basketball Federation and professionalize the league. 2013–14 Baltic Basketball League
The 2013–14 Baltic Basketball League was the 10th anniversary season of the Baltic Basketball League. This time the format featured 21 teams – 6 from Lithuania, 6 from Estonia, 5 from Latvia, 2 from Kazakhstan and 1 from Sweden and Finland. For the regular season the teams were divided into three groups of seven teams and competed in a round-robin competition system, with each team facing their opponent twice. Top five teams of each group and the best sixth placed team qualified for the eight-finals. All play-off games were played in home-and-away series. The Finals were a Lithuanian clash as Šiauliai took the 2014 title by beating TonyBet 140–123 on aggregate score. Estonian team Tartu Ülikool/Rock won their second Baltic League bronze by beating Tampereen Pyrintö of Finland with aggregate score of 149–127. The 2011 FIBA Under-19 World Championship (Latvian: 2011. gada FIBA pasaules čempionāts līdz 19 gadu vecumam) was the 10th edition of the FIBA U19 World Championship, the biennial international men's youth basketball championship contested by the U19 national teams of the member associations of FIBA. The FIBA Under-19 Basketball World Cup (formerly FIBA Under-19 World Championship) is the under-19 men's world basketball championship organised by the International Basketball Federation (FIBA). 2016 Karaliaus Mindaugo Taurė
The 2016 Karaliaus Mindaugo taurė, also known as KIDY Tour – Karaliaus Mindaugo taurė for sponsorship purposes, was the first edition of the newly formed Lithuanian King Mindaugas Cup. It's managed by the Lithuanian Basketball League and the Lithuanian Basketball Federation. The competition was held in Vilnius, in the Siemens Arena on February 19–21, 2016. Lietuvos rytas won the inaugural tournament, defeating Žalgiris 67–57 in the final. Their captain Antanas Kavaliauskas was awarded as MVP of the tournament. Karaliaus Mindaugo Taurė
Karaliaus Mindaugo taurė (English: King Mindaugas Cup) is an annual national domestic basketball cup competition between Lithuanian professional teams. It is organised by the Lithuanian Basketball League (Lietuvos krepšinio lyga – LKL). The tournament is named in honor of Mindaugas, the first and only King of Lithuania. The Final four event includes an annual LKL Three-point Shootout contest, LKL Future Cup was introduced in 2018 with Žalgiris and Rytas youth teams competing for the cup. The 2014–15 Lietuvos krepšinio lyga was the 22nd season of the top-tier level professional basketball league of Lithuania, the Lietuvos krepšinio lyga (LKL). The season started in October 2014, and finished in June 2015. Žalgiris won its 17th title, the fifth in a row. Competition format Regular season During the regular season, all teams played 40 games. Playoff round The top eight teams in the regular season round joined the playoffs in the quarterfinals, that were played in a best-of-three games format.
