Rohan Bewick
Rohan Bewick is a former professional Australian rules footballer who played for the Brisbane Lions in the Australian Football League (AFL). Bewick was recruited by the Lions from West Perth in the West Australian Football League (WAFL) a part of the trade deal that sent Jared Brennan to the Gold Coast Suns. He made his AFL debut in the opening round of the 2011 AFL season. He is the son of former footballer Corry Bewick, who also played for West Perth, and the nephew of former Essendon player Darren Bewick Darren Bewick (born 21 August 1967) is a former Australian rules footballer who won two premierships with the Essendon Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). West Perth Football Club
The West Perth Football Club, nicknamed the Falcons, is an Australian rules football club located in Joondalup, Western Australia. West Perth competes in the West Australian Football League (WAFL) and WAFL Women's (WAFLW) and is the oldest existing Australian rules football club in Western Australia. The Essendon Football Club, nicknamed the Bombers, is a professional Australian rules football club. The club plays in the Australian Football League (AFL), the game's premier competition. South Fremantle Football Club is an Australian rules football club based in Fremantle, Western Australia. Darren Bewick (born 21 August 1967) is a former Australian rules footballer who won two premierships with the Essendon Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). Bewick's game breaking pace & goal sense inside the attacking 50 was legendary amongst Bomber fans. After debuting in 1988, Bewick played in all three of Essendon's finals in 1989. In 1990, Bewick played in Essendon's losing Grand Final team against Collingwood. In the Preliminary Final of 1993, Bewick was instrumental in Essendon's comeback victory (trailing the Adelaide Crows by 42 points at half-time) to earn a place in the 1993 AFL Grand Final. Bewick kicked a game high 6 goals (equal with that of Adelaide full forward Tony Modra), kicking his 5th & 6th goals in the final term to level the scores, with Gary O'Donnell kicking truly to put Essendon in front. The 2011 AFL season was the 115th season of the Australian Football League (AFL), the highest level senior Australian rules football competition in Australia, which was known as the Victorian Football League until 1989.
