Roh Gyeong-tae (born 1972) is a South Korean film producer, director and screenwriter. Personal life Born in 1972, Roh studied at KAIST and was a former stockbroker at Sam-Sung Securities Company. Busan International Film Festival
The Busan International Film Festival (BIFF, previously Pusan International Film Festival, PIFF), held annually in Haeundae-gu, Busan (''also'' Pusan), South Korea, is one of the most significant film festivals in Asia. The first festival, held from 13 to 21 September 1996, was also the first international film festival in Korea. The main focus of the BIFF is to introduce new films and first-time directors, especially those from Asian countries. Another notable feature is the appeal of the festival to young people, both in terms of the large youthful audience it attracts and through its efforts to develop and promote young talent. ''Black Stone'' () is a 2015 South Korean—French film about a young South Korean army recruit who deserts the military after facing sexual abuse. It stars the South Korean actor Won Tae-hee, who is shown in brief full-frontal nudity. Plot ''Black Stone'' tells the story of a deserting army recruit who returns to his parents' home in Seoul, where they worked in a food processing factory, to find they have disappeared. Intent on discovering where they have gone, he enters the jungle where his father was born, and finds it to be contaminated.
