Rogers Television
Rogers TV (stylized as Rogers tv) is a group of English-language community channels owned by Rogers Communications. Many of these channels share common programs. Rogers TV broadcasts in the Canadian provinces of New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador and Ontario. Rogers TV is available only in communities served by Rogers' cable and telecom division, and is not carried by other television service providers. Its French counterpart is TV Rogers. Rogers TV serves over 2.3 million cable subscribers. Edmundston
Edmundston is a city in Madawaska County, New Brunswick, Canada. On 1 January 2023, Edmundston will expanded, annexing the village of Rivière-Verte and parts of the local service districts of the parish of Saint-Jacques and the parish of Saint-Joseph. History During the early colonial period, the area was a camping and meeting place of the Maliseet (Wolastoqiyik) Nation during seasonal migrations. From the mid to late eighteenth century, one of the largest Maliseet villages had been established at Madawaska and had become a refuge site for other Wabanaki peoples. The Maliseet village was originally located near the falls at the confluence of the Madawaska and Saint John Rivers. Currently, the City of Edmundston surrounds a federal Indian Reserve (St. Basile 10/Madawaska Maliseet First Nation). Grand Falls-Windsor is a town located in the central region of the island of Newfoundland in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada, with a population of 13,853 at the 2021 census. Gander is a town located in the northeastern part of the island of Newfoundland in the Canadian province of Newfoundland and Labrador, approximately south of Gander Bay, south of Twillingate and east of Grand Falls-Windsor. TVNB, or Television New Brunswick, was the brand of a group of cable television community channels in the Canadian province of New Brunswick, active in the late 1990s. The network was created by uniting the various local community channels of the province's cable television provider, Fundy Cable. Network master control located in Moncton provided two provincial feeds (English and French) of programs produced around New Brunswick, including sporting events and provincial political coverage of the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick, while local programming inserts were made for local content like TV bingo games, high school sports, city council meetings and municipal election debates. Fundy Cable was a Canadian cable television provider, which served all major New Brunswick communities except for the Sackville area at the time of its purchase by Shaw Communications in 1999. Its operations were later acquired by Rogers Cable. Fundy was based in Saint John, which was the first city in which it provided cable services. During the 1980s and early 1990s it purchased other cable companies in New Brunswick, including Fredericton Cablevision, Cable Service Ltd. in Moncton, and Cable 2000 in the northern part of the province. Acadieman
Acadieman is the first Acadian superhero, created by cartoonist and musician Daniel "Dano" Leblanc. His animated series ''Acadieman'', aired from 2005 to 2009 as a community channel production on Rogers TV, and was then acquired by TV5 Québec Canada for national distribution; however, TV5 cancelled the series in advance of its premiere.
