Rogers High School is a public high school for students in grades nine through twelve located in Rogers, Arkansas. Rogers High School is managed by the Rogers School District and served by the main feeder schools of Elmwood Middle School and Kirksey Middle School. History Established in 1922 to support the education of in Rogers and nearby communities. As of the 2008–09 school year, with the opening of Heritage High School on the site of the Old high school, Rogers High School houses 2,144 students in one building. With the recent increase in students, the Rogers New Tech High School has been opened as one of the high schools now in the Rogers School District. The Arkansas Activities Association (AAA) is the primary sanctioning body for high school sports in state of Arkansas. AAA is a member association of the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFSHSA). Every public secondary school in Arkansas is a de jure member of the AAA, and most private schools, save for a few schools in the delta that belong to the Mississippi Private Schools Association and 22 Christian schools who belong to the Heartland Christian Athletic Association , are included in membership. The Gatorade Player of the Year awards are given annually to up and coming high school student-athletes in the United States. They are given for boys' baseball, boys' and girls' basketball, boys' and girls' cross country, boys' football, boys' and girls' soccer, boys' and girls' track & field, girls' softball, and girls' volleyball. A "State Player of the Year" award is given to the best student-athlete in each of the twelve sports in the District of Columbia and each of the fifty states, where each sport is recognized as an interscholastic sport. Lee Ziemba (born March 29, 1989) is a former American football offensive tackle who played in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for Auburn University, where he earned consensus All-American honors and won the 2011 BCS National Championship.
