Roger Grimau
Roger Grimau Gragera (born 14 July 1978) is a Spanish retired professional basketball player who last played for La Bruixa d'Or Manresa. He is a 1.96 m (6'5") tall swingman, that could also play as a point guard. Professional career Grimau quickly moved to continue a family legacy in the world of basketball. Like his father before him, and as his two younger siblings who would follow suit, Roger rose to the ranks as a professional basketball player. At Lleida, he propelled his team to the Liga ACB, Spanish basketball's premier division. He was the undoubted star of a young team which won promotion to the league. As well as being named an all-star in their promotion season, he also earned a move to his next club, FC Barcelona and with it, a call up to the Spain national team, with whom he won a gold medal at the 2001 Mediterranean Games. The Supercopa de España de Baloncesto (English: ''Spanish Basketball Supercup'') is a Spanish annual men's professional basketball competition. The competition is a super cup tournament. History The Supercopa was created in 1984 by the recently established Asociación de Clubs de Baloncesto (ACB) in which the league winner faces the cup winner in a single-game final. During its first four editions (1984–1987), the Supercup was also known as Federation Cup, as the tournament was jointly organized by the Spanish Basketball Federation (FEB), and it was held in the middle of the regular season. Liga Española de Baloncesto Aficionado (EBA), commonly known as Liga EBA, is a Spanish basketball championship that is the fourth tier level in the Spanish basketball league system, after the Liga ACB, LEB Oro, and LEB Plata. It is administered by the FEB. It was previously the Spanish second tier level competition from 1994 to 1996, the third tier level from 1996 to 2000, and the fifth tier level, from 2007 to 2009. The Liga EBA is made up of five inter-regional groups. After the regular season, sixteen teams advance to the playoffs, where only four teams are promoted to the LEB Plata. The lowest ranked teams of each group, are relegated to the Primera División.
