Roger Aindow
Roger Allen Aindow (born 23 October 1946) is an English former professional footballer who played as a defender. Football career As a youth with Litherland Schoolboys, Aindow primarily played in goal but was converted to defense when he signed for Blackpool in September 1966. He failed to break into the first team at Blackpool and joined Football League Third Division side Southport in October 1967, initially as an amateur. He turned professional in the summer of 1969 and went on to play 58 times for ''the Sandgrounders'', scoring four goals. After leaving the club at the end of the 1970–71 season, Aindow had a long career in non-League football and had a spell in Wales with Rhyl. Seaforth, Merseyside
Seaforth is a district in the Metropolitan Borough of Sefton, Merseyside, England. Historically in Lancashire, it is north of Liverpool, between Bootle and Waterloo. History The name of Seaforth is thought to come from the Old Norse ''sæ-fjord'', ''sæ-ford'', "sea inlet". It was recorded as ''Safforde'' "sea ford" in 1128, suggesting Old English name origins. Another theory for the name of the area is that it was taken from Seaforth House, named after Francis Mackenzie, 1st Baron Seaforth, who built the mansion in 1813 for his daughter and her husband, Sir John Gladstone, father of William Ewart Gladstone, four times Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. Formby
Formby is a town and civil parish in the Metropolitan Borough of Sefton, Merseyside, England, which had a population of 22,419 at the 2011 Census. Historically in Lancashire, three manors are recorded in the Domesday Book of 1086 under "Fornebei", Halsall, Walton and Poynton. Cockle raking and shrimp fishing lasted into the 19th century. By 1872, the township and sub-district was made up of two chapelries ( St Peter's and St Luke's), Birkdale township, the hamlets of Ainsdale and Raven-Meols and Altcar parish. The West Lancashire Football League is a football competition based in northern England, consisting of five divisions – three for first teams (Premier, One and Two), and two for reserve teams. Non-League football describes football leagues played outside the top leagues of a country. Usually, it describes leagues which are not fully professional. The term is primarily used for football in England, where it is specifically used to describe all football played at levels below those of the Premier League (20 clubs) and the three divisions of the English Football League (EFL; 72 clubs). Currently, a non-League team would be any club playing in the National League or below that level.
