Roen Nelson
Roen Nelson (born 8 April 1980) is a Jamaican international association football, footballer who plays for Portmore United F.C., Portmore United, as a Forward (association football), striker. Career Nelson has played in Jamaica for Portmore United F.C., Portmore United, in Trinidad for Joe Public F.C., Joe Public, and in China for Chengdu Blades F.C., Chengdu Blades. Nelson also earned twelve caps for the Jamaica national football team, Jamaica national team between 2002 and 2008. Forward (association Football)
Forwards (also known as attackers) are outfield positions in an association football team who play the furthest up the pitch and are therefore most responsible for scoring goals as well as assisting them. As with any attacking player, the role of the forward relies heavily on being able to create space for attack. Attacking positions generally favour irrational players who ask questions to the defensive side of the opponent in order to create scoring chances, where they benefit from a lack of predictability in attacking play. Team formations normally include one to three forwards. For example, the common 4–2–3–1 includes one forward. Less conventional formations may include more than three forwards, or none.
