Rodzima Wiara (meaning "Native Faith") is a Polish Rodnover religious organization, founded in 1996 by Stanisław Potrzebowski in Wrocław as ''Zrzeszenie Rodzimej Wiary'' (meaning "Union of Native Faith"). The name was changed to the current one in 2000. ''Zrzeszenie Rodzimej Wiary'' was registered with the Polish Ministry of the Interior's registry of denominations and churches on March 4, 1996. The official activity of organization was started on March 23, 1996 during the Veche of the Followers in Wrocław. Polish Language
Polish (Polish: ''język polski'', , ''polszczyzna'' or simply ''polski'', ) is a West Slavic language of the Lechitic group written in the Latin script. It is spoken primarily in Poland and serves as the native language of the Poles. In addition to being the official language of Poland, it is also used by the Polish diaspora. Stanisław Potrzebowski
Stanisław Potrzebowski (born 9 February 1937) is the founder and Naczelnik (leader) of Rodzima Wiara, a Polish rodnover organisation, and of the European Congress of Ethnic Religions. Career Between 1954-1957 Potrzebowski was studying geology at the AGH University of Science and Technology. In 1957, he was arrested and interrogated by Służba Bezpieczeństwa for distributing leaflets against closing of the student's magazine "Po Prostu". From 1958 to 1966 he was serving in the Polish air forces; he was left army with the poruchnik rank. In 1972, he finished his studies with honors and received a master's degree of history at University of Wrocław. In 1973, Potrzebowski went to West Germany and started studies at University of Mainz. In 1980 he received the title of PhD in philosophy. In 1985 he went to South Africa, where he was working e.g. in Deutsche Schule in Pretoria. The Rodnover Confederation (''Konfederacja Rodzimowiercza'') is a confederation of Polish Rodnover religious organisations, founded on 23 August 2015 during the 3rd All-Poland Rodnover Congress in Łysogóry. Since 2016 the Rodnover Confederation has organised the All-Poland Rodnover Congress and published the Rodnover Calendar.
