Rodrigo Godínez
Rodrigo Godínez Orozco (born 21 September 1992) is a Mexican professional footballer who plays as a defender for Liga MX club Tijuana. Club career Godínez was born in Zamora, Michoacán. He moved to the city of Guadalajara when he was ten years old. He enrolled in the C.D. Guadalajara academy where he stayed four years. Godínez then tried his luck at Atotonilco FC of the Tercera División, the fourth level of Mexican football. He joined the Atlas youth teams and then went on to play for Morelia's youth team. Godínez made his first division debut on September 21, 2012, his 20th birthday, starting in a 1–1 draw against Tigres UANL. Godínez was replaced in the 52nd minute by Jefferson Montero. Godínez has helped Morelia win the Apertura 2013 Copa MX and the 2014 Supercopa MX since debuting with the team. In January 2019, he moved to Leones Negros. Zamora de Hidalgo (Spanish pronunciation: [saˈmoɾa de i'dalɢo]) is a city in the Mexico, Mexican States of Mexico, state of Michoacán. The 2010 census population was 141,627. making it the third largest city in the state. The city is the municipal seat of Zamora Municipality, Michoacán, Zamora Municipality, which has an area of 330.97 km² (127.79 sq mi) and includes many other smaller communities, the largest of which is Ario de Rayón (Ario Santa Mónica). The Supercopa MX ( en, Supercup MX) was a Mexican football championship contested by the winners of the Apertura and Clausura Copa MX. History In June 2013 Liga MX president Decio De María announced the winners of Apertura and Clausura Copa MX will face each other and the winner will qualify to the following year's Copa Libertadores as "Mexico 3". On June 20, 2014 it was announced the two teams would face each other in a two-legged home-and-away series called ''SuperCopa MX''. The Copa MX (formerly called Copa Tower Monterrey, Copa Eliminatoria, Copa México and Copa Corona MX (for sponsorship reasons)) was a Mexican football cup competition that was established in 1907. After a lengthy hiatus that began in 1997, it was restored in 2012. On early editions of the cup, it consisted of both professional and amateur stages. It was the first official tournament that included teams from different parts of Mexico and was considered a prestigious tournament, especially during its earlier years of existence. The original purpose of the competition was to determine a national champion, thus distinguishing it from the local league championship.
