Rodney C. Moen (born July 26, 1937) is an American former member of the Wisconsin State Senate. Biography Rodney C. Moen was born on July 26, 1937, in Whitehall, Wisconsin. He attended the Rochester Institute of Technology, Syracuse University, University of Southern California and Ball State University. Moen was an Officer (armed forces), officer in the United States Navy for more than twenty years, including a tour of duty in the Vietnam War. He is married and has had five children. Political career Moen was a member of the Senate from 1983 to 2003 as a member of the Democratic Party of Wisconsin, Democratic Party. He served three terms as Assistant Majority Leader, two terms as Minority Caucus Chairperson and a term as Majority Caucus Chairperson. References

Wisconsin State Senate
The Wisconsin Senate is the upper house of the Wisconsin State Legislature. Together with the larger Wisconsin State Assembly they constitute the legislative branch of the state of Wisconsin. The powers of the Wisconsin Senate are modeled after those of the U.S. Senate. The Wisconsin Constitution ties the size of the State Senate to that of the Assembly, by limiting its size to no less than 1/4, nor more than 1/3, of the size of the Assembly. Currently, Wisconsin is divided into 33 Senate Districts (1/3 of the current Assembly membership of 99) apportioned throughout the state based on population as determined by the decennial census, for a total of 33 senators. A Senate district is formed by combining three Assembly districts.
