Rocky (1981 Film)
Rocky is a 1981 Indian romantic action film directed by Sunil Dutt. This film marks the debut of Sunil Dutt's son Sanjay Dutt and also stars Reena Roy, Tina Munim, Amjad Khan, Raakhee, Ranjeet, Shakti Kapoor and Aruna Irani in pivotal roles. Sunil Dutt also appears in a cameo. Aruna Irani received a Filmfare Nomination for Best Supporting Actress, the only nomination for the film. Shammi Kapoor plays himself, where he gets to judge dancers to the famous song "Aa Dekhe Zara", where Sanjay Dutt and Reena Roy as a pair compete against Shakti Kapoor and Tina Munim. The film was released only a few days after the death of Sunil's wife and Sanjay's mother, Nargis. It was ranked as the 10th highest-grossing film of 1981. Sunil Dutt
Sunil Dutt (born Balraj Dutt; 6 June 1929 — 25 May 2005) was an Indian actor, film producer, director and politician. Dutt was one of the major stars of Hindi cinema in the late 1950s and 1960s and continued to star in many successful films which included ''Mother India'' (1957) '' Sadhna'' (1958), ''Insan Jaag Utha'' (1959), '' Sujata'' (1959), ''Mujhe Jeene Do'' (1963), '' Gumraah'' (1963), '' Waqt'' (1965), ''Khandan'' (1965), ''Mera Saaya'' (1966) and ''Padosan'' (1967), and ''Hamraaz'' (1967), '' Heera'' (1973), ''Pran Jaye Par Vachan Na Jaye'' (1974), '' Nagin'' (1976), ''Jaani Dushman'' (1979), '' Muqabla'' (1979), and '' Shaan'' (1980). Iftekhar
Sayedna Iftekhar Ahmed Sharif (22 February 1924 – 4 March 1995), often mononymously credited as Iftekhar, was an Indian actor who mainly worked in Hindi cinema. He is known for his role as a police officer. Career Iftekhar was born in Jalandhar and was the eldest among four brothers and a sister. After completing his matriculation, Iftekhar did a diploma course in painting from Lucknow College Of Arts. Iftekhar had a passion for singing and was impressed with the famous singer Kundanlal Sehgal. In his 20s, Iftekhar travelled to Calcutta for an audition conducted by the music composer Kamal Dasgupta, who was then serving for HMV. Dasgupta was so impressed by Iftekhar's personality that he recommended his name to M. P. Productions as an actor. Iftekhar made his debut in the 1944 film ''Taqraar'', which was made under the banner of Art Films-Kolkata.
