Mara Rockliff
Mara Rockliff (born 1970) is an American author of nonfiction and educational books for children. The American Library Association selected her book ''Gingerbread for Liberty!'' as an ALA Notable Children's Book. She also received the Golden Kite Award for ''Me and Momma and Big John.'' Career Rockliff specializes in historical picture books for children, especially true stories about people that are not included in traditional histories. For example, she has written books about the female magician Adelaide Herrmann, pioneering film-maker Alice Guy Blaché, World War II engineer Beatrice Shilling'','' and Georgia Gilmore who helped feed participants in Montgomery bus boycott. Tom Rockliff
Thomas Rockliff (born 22 February 1990) is a former professional Australian rules footballer who played for the Port Adelaide Football Club and previously played for the Brisbane Lions Football Club for 154 games between 2009 and 2017. In 2008 Rockliff, a medium-sized, smart and creative forward, was the leading goalkicker in the TAC Cup with 59 goals and won the Murray Bushrangers' best and fairest award, but was overlooked in the main draft. He was, however, drafted by the Brisbane Lions with the fifth selection in the 2008 AFL draft#2009 pre-season draft, 2009 pre-season draft. He served as the captain of the Brisbane Lions in 2015 and 2016. Jeremy Rockliff
Jeremy Page Rockliff (born 5 February 1970) is an Australian politician who has been serving as the 47th Premier of Tasmania since April 2022, after the resignation of Peter Gutwein as Premier. He has been a Liberal Party member of the Tasmanian House of Assembly in the Division of Braddon since the 2002 election. He was the Deputy Premier of Tasmania from 2014 to 2022 before becoming Premier. Early life and education Rockliff was born on 5 February 1970 in Devonport, Tasmania. He is the son of Richard and Geraldine Rockliff, with his father's family having farmed at Sassafras since the 1850s. Rockliff grew up on his family's farm at Sassafras. He attended Latrobe High School and Launceston Church Grammar School. He completed a diploma in farm management at Lincoln University in New Zealand, before returning to Sassafras to manage the family property.
