''Rockin' Like Dokken'' is a live mini-album by rock band A which was released in Japan and the UK only. The majority of tracks were recorded live on tour on A's Inner City Sumo Tour during November 2002. Japanese editions include the studio recording "Human Condition" as a bonus track. A is a British alternative rock band from Suffolk, England, which formed in 1993. They have released 4 studio and 2 live albums, including their debut ''How Ace Are Buildings'' and the UK top 20 album ''Hi-Fi Serious''. Single releases have also achieved strong chart success, with a UK top 10, four UK top 40 and seven UK Top 100 singles. Shortly after releasing their fourth album, ''Teen Dance Ordinance'', in 2005, the band briefly split. ''Hi-Fi Serious'' is the third studio album by British alternative rock band A, released in 2002. The name "Hi-Fi Serious" was derived from the name of the hi-fi electronics store Alan Partridge buys a Bang & Olufsen stereo from in the last episode of ''I'm Alan Partridge'' series 1. The tour in support of this album's release was called the 'Inner City Sumo' tour - another reference to ''I'm Alan Partridge'' (Season 1 Episode 1). Charts, sales and legacy The album is certified Silver in the U.K., having sold over 60,000 copies. First single, "Nothing", made it to 9 in the UK singles chart before the album's release, propelling the band higher up the ladder - the album peaked at No. 18 in the UK album charts - and although they were still not seen as a mainstream artist, the album still won them "Best British Band" at the ''Kerrang!'' Teen Dance Ordinance (album)
''Teen Dance Ordinance'' is the fourth album by the alternative rock group A. It was released on 25 June 2005 in the United Kingdom and later in the United States. The title refers to a law passed in 1985 by Seattle City Council and repealed in 2002 which prohibited minors and adults from attending the same dance clubs. It featured a more straight-rock sound and displayed an almost complete absence of the keyboards and sampling that marked the early sound of the band. Due to many delays in the release of the album, which consisted of the label shelving the album for two years after recording was already completed in 2003 and Jason Perry experiencing illness, the band already were out of general public interest due to the long time they were away from releasing material. Jason Perry (born 29 December 1969) is an English record producer and singer/songwriter. He is the lead vocalist of the Suffolk based band alternative rock 'A'. He has an identical twin brother, Adam, and a younger brother, Giles, both of whom are also members of the band. It reached number nine on the UK Singles Chart; to date, A's highest charting single. During the promotion of the single, the band appeared on ''Top of the Pops'' and the Pepsi Chart Show.
