Rockers Hi-Fi
Rockers Hi-Fi were an electronic dub/dance outfit formed in Birmingham, England in 1991 as Original Rockers. In 1994, they changed their name to Rockers Hi-Fi. Their music was quite popular across Europe as an extension and continuation of the dub music genre. Their first success came with a few tracks on the Beyond Records ''Ambient Dub'' series of compilations, and "Push Push" became a dancefloor hit at the beginning of the 90s. They released four studio albums and also mixed and compiled an album for Studio !K7's DJ-Kicks series. Their urban sound was created by Richard "DJ Dick" Whittingham who began his DJ career in Duran Duran's Rum Runner nightclub, he now hosts Leftfoot at the Medicine Bar, and Glyn "Bigga" Bush who continues to produce music as BiggaBush and Lightning Head on his own Lion Head label. Leftfoot
{{Unreferenced, date=August 2014 Leftfoot is a musical event. It started life in Birmingham's Medicine Bar and the Bulls Head Public House in the suburb of Moseley in the late 1990s. Primarily an acid jazz night, many other major music styles such as hip hop, funk and dub are included. The residents and organisers are DJ Dick (originally from the Rum Runner nightclub and Rockers Hi-Fi) and Adam Regan. Leftfoot has featured on BBC Radio 1 several times and at other events such as the Cheltenham International Jazz Festival. Traffic (2000 Film)
''Traffic'' is a 2000 American crime drama film directed by Steven Soderbergh and written by Stephen Gaghan. It explores the illegal drug trade from a number of perspectives: users, enforcers, politicians, and traffickers. Kruder & Dorfmeister, named after members Peter Kruder and Richard Dorfmeister, is an Austrian duo, known for their trip hop/downtempo remixes of pop, hip hop and drum and bass songs. Career In 1993, they released their first EP '' G-Stoned'' featuring the hypnotic "High Noon" and a cover resembling Simon & Garfunkel's '' Bookends'' to critical acclaim especially from the UK.
