Rockdale, New South Wales
Rockdale is a suburb in southern Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. Rockdale is located 13 kilometres south of the Sydney central business district and is part of the St George area. Rockdale is one of the administrative centres for the local government area of the Bayside Council. Since 1985 Rockdale has been a twinned city with Bitola, in the Republic of Macedonia. History Rockdale was known by Europeans as Frog Hollow, then White Gum Flat and later as West Botany. The name ''Rockdale'' was suggested in 1878 by the first postmistress, Mrs Mary Ann Geeves. New South Wales Legislative Assembly
The New South Wales Legislative Assembly is the lower of the two houses of the Parliament of New South Wales, an Australian state. The upper house is the New South Wales Legislative Council. Both the Assembly and Council sit at Parliament House in the state capital, Sydney. The Assembly is presided over by the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly. St George, New South Wales
The St George region of Sydney is part of the southern suburbs of Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. The area includes all the suburbs in the local government area of Georges River Council and the part of Bayside Council which was Rockdale City prior to 2016. The eastern boundary of the district is Lady Robinson Beach on Botany Bay. Rockdale Town Hall
The Rockdale Town Hall is a civic building located on the corner of the Princes Highway and Bryant Street in Rockdale, a suburb of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. History Rockdale Town Hall was opened by The Rt Hon. The Lord Wakehurst , Governor of New South Wales, on 12 October 1940. The building was designed by then-local architect Douglas Gardiner, who became a Melbourne-based partner of Bates Smart & McCutcheon after World War II. Built at a cost of A£20,000, the council chamber was at the time of construction and the auditorium was . It is built of face brick detailed with stone at copings and around window architraves. The building entrance is marked by a stone portico and brick tower. The hall's interiors have elaborate art deco style plaster details to it walls and ceiling. Wilsons Farm House

Kyeemagh Market Gardens
The Kyeemagh Market Gardens are heritage-listed market gardens at Occupation Road, Kyeemagh, Bayside Council, New South Wales, Australia. It was established from 1892. It is also known as Occupation Road Market Gardens, Chinese Market Gardens and Rockdale Market Gardens. It was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 2 April 1999. History The area east of Tabrett Street is believed to have been occupied by market gardeners since 1892-3, whilst other areas were still vacant. Lydham Hall is a State heritage-listed former rural residence at 18 Lydham Avenue, Rockdale in New South Wales, Australia. The parcel the land purchased by Joseph Davis in 1860, was part of the original 1200 acres Grant to James Chandler, and was initially named ''Lydham Hill''. The building currently called ''Lydham Hall'' stands on the highest point of land between the Cooks River and the Georges Rivers. The Street previously known as ''Joseph Street'' was named ''Lydham Avenue'' in 1917 at the request of one of the neighbouring property owners. The Sydney tramway network served the inner suburbs of Sydney, Australia from 1879 until 1961.
