''Rock and Roll Part Three'' is the debut studio album by American rock band Ozma. It was self-released by Ozma's own imprint Tornado Recordings on January 1, 2000 and re-released for national distribution by Kung Fu Records on August 21, 2001. Music and lyrics Often classified as power pop or geek rock, ''Rock and Roll Part Three'' relies heavily on uptempo songs with distorted guitar and keyboards. A strongly nostalgic album, many of the songs contain backward-looking lyrics and catchy choruses. Comparisons are often drawn with Weezer, The Rentals, and The Get-Up Kids. Ozma is an American rock band from Pasadena, California. The band's sound is a mix of nostalgic new wave–influenced power pop and contrapuntal Casiotone-driven melodies sustained by heavy guitar riffs. Ryen Slegr is a Los Angeles-based musician best known for being a member of the rock band Ozma. He is also affiliated with The Rentals, Weezer, and Rachel Haden. The Rentals In 2006, Slegr performed with The Rentals on their U.S. tour with Ozma. He also engineered and played guitar on The Rentals' 2014 Polyvinyl release ''Lost in Alphaville''. Rivers Cuomo ( ; born June 13, 1970) is an American musician. He is the lead vocalist, guitarist, pianist, and songwriter of the rock band Weezer. Cuomo was raised in a number of Buddhist communities in the Northeast U.S. until the age of 10, when his family settled in Central Connecticut.
